Naina sat in the car, her face devoid of emotion, as if she were a lifeless doll. But Devanash, on the other hand, couldn't take his eyes off her. His gaze lingered on his cherry (his wife), though words eluded him. He didn't know how to break the silence. His mind was clouded with the knowledge that so much awaited him once they reached home.
He was aware of the wrongness of how he had married her, at gunpoint no less. He knew that she might hate him, perhaps forever, for it. But despite everything, one thing was undeniable: he loved her. And that was all that mattered to him. If she loved someone else, maybe he'd spend his life in her memories, but how could he allow her to marry someone else, especially that asshole? In less than an hour, they would be home.
Devanash stepped out of the car, walking around to open the door for Naina, offering her his hand. But like a lifeless body, she ignored him, falling into her robotic mode once again.
Frustration built up in Devanash as he watched her cold indifference. He wished she would speak, shout, or at the very least, ask him why he had done this to her.
From behind, Suryaveer, his father, walked up and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Give her time, my son. She will understand."
Suryaveer: "Give her time, my son. She will understand."
Devanash moved forward and gently took Naina's hand, guiding her mentally toward the door. She was in shock as she entered, her eyes wide at the decorations of the Rajpurohit mansion, meticulously arranged to welcome her as the new daughter-in-law.
Kunal to his father, Pratap: "Papa, do you think she will forgive all of us? And why is she behaving like this? It's like she's turned into a robot. She's not reacting at all... it feels like she doesn't care about any of this."

Vedant: "Yes, chote papa..."
Pratap: "Well, she'll tell us when she's ready. But what I can say is, our daughter is in pain. I can see it in her eyes. She's hiding so much pain... It's been with her for a long time now."
("Woh toh aab wohi batayegii, par itna keh sakta hoon, dard mein hai hamari baachchi. Uski aankhein dekhii hai, bohot dard chup rakha hai aur waqt se.)"
Suryaveer: "Yes, I've seen it too. But don't worry, it's our responsibility now. We'll shower our daughter-in-law with so much love that she'll forget all her pain."
( "Haan, maine bhi dekha. Koi baat nahi, ab yeh hamari zimmedaari hai. Hum apni daughter-in-law ko itna pyaar denge, saare dard bhool jayegi.")
Vedant: "But papa, Kunal Bhai said she was always happy. She used to help everyone at the office... So how can there be so much pain?"
( "Par papa, Kunal Bhai ne kaha tha woh toh bohot khush rehti thi, aksar sabki madad karti thi office mein... toh dard kaise?")
Suryaveer: "A smiling face hides a lot of pain, son..."
( "Haste huye chehre ke neeche bohot dard chhupa hota hai, bachche.")
Kunal: "Yes, papa, you're right. And we'll show her the best version of her brother-in-law."( "Haan, bade papa, sahi kaha aapne. Aur hum apne bhai ki best devar banke dikhaenge.")
Pratap: "I'm proud of my sons."
("Main apne sons par garv karta hoon.")
Vedant: "Let's go inside before mom and little mom scold us. And they won't leave us alone when they find out what we've done."
( "Chaliye andar, warna maa aur chhoti maa ki daat khani padegi, aur woh waise bhi humein nahi chhodegi, jab unhe pata chalega humne kya kiya hai."
The five men shared a knowing glance and headed inside.
When Devanash and Naina entered, they were greeted by Devanash's mother, Dadaji, Chachi, and his sister Ardhaya.Ardhaya, beaming with excitement, rushed toward Naina. "Wow, Bhabhi, you're so beautiful!" she said enthusiastically, but Naina didn't respond. She was still processing how everyone seemed to know her, yet she was unfamiliar with them.

Devanash's Dadi lovingly asked Naina to hit the kalash and enter. Naina followed, but as soon as she stepped inside, it was evident to everyone that she wasn't happy. Devanash's mother glared at him, her husband Suryaveer, and her brother-in-law Pratap. She didn't want to create any drama in front of her daughter-in-law, so instead, she asked Ardhaya to take Naina to Devanash's room.
As they reached the room, Ardhaya gently said, "Bhabhi, I don't know how bhai married you, but he loves you so much. Please, give us a chance. You must be tired. Take rest. We'll talk tomorrow." With that, Ardhaya left the room, leaving Naina alone.
Downstairs, Meghna said to Sarita, "Saru, maa sa ko room mein leke jao aur dawai dedena."
Meghna: "Saru, take maa to the room and give her the medicine."
Sarita nodded and went to make her mother-in-law sleep.
Meanwhile, the men of the Rajpurohit family knew what was coming and were terrified. They could sense the storm brewing.
Sarita came downstairs, and now, both Sarita and Meera were glaring at Pratap, Suryaveer, Kunal, Vedant, and Devanash.
Meghna: "Kya kiya hai aap logo ne?"
Meghna: "What have you guys done?"
Suryaveer stuttered, "Kuch nahi biwiii..."
Suryaveer: "Nothing, my dear..."
Meghna: "Naina ko dekh ke toh kuch aur hi lag raha tha, woh jaise lag rahi thi..."
( "But looking at Naina, it seemed like something else entirely... She looked like...")
Suddenly, Vedant took a deep breath and explained everything all at once.
Vedant: "It was my father and uncle's plan, and most importantly, it was my two big brothers' plan."
("Yeh mere dad aur uncle ka plan tha, aur sabse zaroori baat, yeh dono bade bhaiyon ka plan tha.")
After hearing this, Meghna, Sarita, and Ardhaya looked at them with open mouths but didn't say a word. Ardhaya, however, was disappointed because she had also wanted to be involved in their plan.
The women retired to the kitchen, and Meghna returned with a rolling pin, Sarita with a frypan, and Ardhaya with popcorn.
Aaradhya: "Mujhe leke nahi gayene aab aap log pitooo mein enjoy karungiii!"
(
"You guys didn't take me with you? Now I'll enjoy while you get beaten!" 🤤🍿)
Vedant: "Chup kar, chipkaliii!"
(
"Shut up, you lizard!")
Meghna: "How dare you guys do this to my daughter-in-law!" And she started chasing them.
(
"Kaise himmat hui tum logon ki meri daughter-in-law ke saath aisa karne ki!")
Sarita: "Itni pyaari baachi ko aap logon ne gun dikhai?"

"You showed such gun to such a sweet girl?")
Devanash: "Maaf kar do, maa, chhoti maa!"
(
"Please forgive me, maa, chhoti maa!")
Vedant: "Zindagi mein in logo ka saath nahi dunga, please ma, chhoti maa!"( "I swear, I won't let these guys be with me again, please ma, chhoti maa!)
Kunal: "Sorry..."
Suryaveer: "Option nahi tha, bhagyawan!"
( "There was no choice, lucky biwi)
Pratap: "Copy-paste... Saruuu..."
The men were running here and there, trying to escape. Devanash, Kunal, and Vedant ran to their respective rooms, while Suryaveer and Pratap held their wives back, trying to make them understand.
Ardhaya, watching her brothers, father, and uncle, couldn't help but laugh. But deep down, she knew they weren't wrong. They were her role models. With a smile, she retired to her room.
Devanash jerked open the door, and what he saw inside shocked him. Naina was standing there, holding a knife, pointing it towards his hand.😞🤨
