Also the scratch immediately healed after the fight and when I checked the status screen, it showed my hp had gone down by 5 points.
[ Hp: 1595 / 1600]
My mp was still full as I still had not learned any magic.
The magic stones in my pouch had increased from 12 to 40, and after leveling up to Level 2 the exp from the monster had gone down to 3 exp each from 5 exp.
-----------------------
Once again, tightening my grip on the sword, I set out in an unlighted region on my map to light it up (explore it).
...
Maybe around 2 hours or so had passed. I was now level 3 and had hunted around 60 more goblins, which now gave me a pitiful 1 exp and some did not even give any exp.
I was taking a small break after completely exploring the first floor, at the staircase to the second floor.
The stairs in front of me extended downwards for quite a distance, the way to the second floor of the dungeon.
I once again looked at the map in the corner of my vision, it was showing the complete 1st floor, even corners or dead-ends which even most of the adventures do not visit.
I felt like I had done something great, completely mapping the entire first floor, and also if I copied it down, could I sell it to the guild? If so how much would it cost?
'Ahem~ Ahem~ I need to concentrate, going forward from here is the second floor of the dungeon, and as per the course, the second floor has a higher chance of an adventurer meeting kobolds or armed goblins and in larger groups.'
After finishing my break, I stood up and started down the stairs to the second floor.
The blue walls of the second floor were still the same color, but the air felt a little more heavier.
Just after going down the stairs, I was greeted by a group of four goblins and two kobolds spawning in the open space near the stairs.
Immediately activating my spatial sense, I dashed towards the first goblin, picking it up by its neck and throwing it towards the two kobolds at the back.
The kobolds were knocked down due to the force of the goblin hitting them square in the face.
Sensing a goblin aiming at my chest from the right and another goblin trying to attack near my thigh, I took two steps back going out of the goblins reach and vertically hacked at the right one, cutting it down, and turned towards the left one, when I sensed the last goblin sneaking behind it.
Blocking the first goblins attack, I did not deflect it, waiting for the goblin behind it to come closer, and then put more force on my sword making the goblin stumble into the one sneaking behind.
Then while the two were unbalanced a single straight stab went through the two of them, dropping two more magic stones.
The fight with the three goblins did not even take 10 seconds, and the two knocked down kobolds and the now lone goblin got up and rushed towards me.
The kobolds were a little more faster than the goblin, reaching me in a straight dash allowing me to read their movements easily and counter their attacks and cut them down, the lone goblin was also cut down a few moments later.
I picked up the magic stones fallen on the ground, but this time instead of storing in my pouch, tried putting it into the inventory, and was able to easily store them.
But the goblin magic stones and the kobold ones were stored seperately in two different squares. The same type of stones were stacked, goblin magic stones x4, kobold magic stones x2.
I wanted to store the magic stones on the second floor in the inventory because similar to all cliche stories, those who attended the adventurer course were advised to stay on the first floor only for a few weeks, try to become a little accustomed to the dungeon, find a suitable familia and get the falna from their patron gods/goddesses, then either alone or form groups to descend to the second floor.
Also, another thing to note was that magic stones on different floors had a different level of mana in it. Eg, a magic stone from the fifth floor had twice the amount of mana in it compare to the third floor. Hence the requirement for the magic stones to be appraised at the guild before an adventurer was paid for it.
So if I, who had just completed the adventurer course yesterday, and handed over magic stones from the second floor or lower, there would be many questions raised and answers for me to provide, or I may even be involved in some less than favorable conditions especially considering the current situation of Orario.
...
After nearly 3 hours and a few more breaks, I was able to completely map the second floor too. I had also come across a few newbie parties and expertly avoided them, who knows what would or can happen in the dungeon.
I had also successfully levelled up once more bringing my level to 4 by defeating around 40 goblins and 30 kobolds.
Even after almost 5 to 6 hours of continuous fighting, I still did not feel any fatigue at all, neither physical nor mental, infact every time I levelled up, I felt even more energized that before.
The conclusion, gamer body and gamer mind skills are definitely broken.
...
The walls of the third floor was still the same shade of light blue.
'Ah, if I remember correctly, you can expect to see dungeon lizards from the third floor onwards and the number of enemies you face increases sharply and the goblins and kobolds become stronger and more cunning.'
The greeting for the third floor was even more grander than the 2nd floor, as soon as I entered the first chamber after going down the stairs, five goblins, three kobolds and one dungeon lizard, if the feeling what I was experiencing from the ceiling above was correct, a total of nine monsters spawning on the third floor was definitely a grand welcome.
Keeping an eye out for the dungeon lizard on the ceiling, I got myself in a defensive stance to meet the goblins and kobolds rushing towards me. Blocking the goblin at the front, I slid my sword across its dagger, stabbing it in the chest, and immediately half turned to my right, allowing the two goblins who attacked me to slip past me.
Turning around, a single slash from me to their exposed back was enough to finish the two goblins off, I had to duck immediately to avoid a kobold's club to my head from behind, and a half sweep from my sword bright down the kobold.
As I took a breath staring at the other goblins and kobolds, waiting for them to rush at me, the dungeon lizard immediately lunged at me, it was good thing I had gotten spatial sense, as I was able to immediately sense the movement and hold up my sword towards the incoming lizard which was already in the air, the end result being the lizard getting skewered from my sword easily.
Seeing me distracted by the lizard, the remaining two goblins and kobolds immediately rushed towards me, but as I easily dispatched the lizard, they stagnated for a few seconds allowing me to take up the attack, I easily slashed a kobold and a goblin before the two leftover monsters, came back to their senses and lunged at me.
