Mabel Quinn never thought such an event had happened—a living person and a dead one spent a day and a night in the mourning hall. What exactly transpired might already be impossible to know, but inexplicably, she had a feeling that Easton Kinston must have loved Kyle Kinston's mother very much.
After the three finished eating, Mabel Quinn checked the time and saw it was almost six o'clock. If she took the bus back to the Kinston residence, it would be just about the right time to return there.
Blake Winchester insisted on paying the bill, and Mabel Quinn did not argue.
When the three of them walked out of the steakhouse, they happened to see Soren walking over with several people toward the steakhouse. Soren paused slightly at the sight of Mabel Quinn, then greeted those beside him, "You guys go in first. I have something to do; I'll join you in a moment."
The others nodded and went in first.
