Mabel Quinn was lost in her chaotic thoughts, and then she subconsciously picked up a jar of cookies she had left on the coffee table and started eating. It wasn't until she had eaten quite a few that she realized Kyle Kinston was watching her.
Her mind instantly went blank, and before she could process the situation, her body had already reacted. Her hand had offered the jar of cookies to him.
He glanced at the jar of cookies and then looked at her.
She felt embarrassed, reflecting on why she had made such a move instinctively, so she awkwardly said, "Do you want some?"
Of course, she didn't really expect Kyle to eat her little cookies, after all, such snacks seemed quite insignificant in front of him. But who would have thought, Kyle asked, "Do you like these small cookies?"
"They're pretty good for quelling hunger."
He noticed her lips still had some cookie crumbs on them, and suddenly, with interest, he picked up a cookie from the small jar.
