"You're still being stubborn?! You damn girl, now you're even going after the old man!" Evelina yelled, as if she wanted to cement Mabel Quinn's guilt.
And because of Evelina's intrusion, the meeting room door was left open, allowing many students outside to rush in and watch the commotion.
"Are you Mabel Quinn's mother?" the department head asked.
Evelina took a breath and replied, "Yes, I'm her mother. I'm aware of what my daughter did, and I've scolded her several times. I never thought she would be so incorrigible, continuing to do such shameless things. No matter what punishment the school gives my daughter today, I will accept it on her behalf."
Mabel Quinn widened her eyes at her mother, suddenly feeling a sense of pity and absurdity.
Her mother was now lying in front of everyone, intending to destroy her. She always knew her mother disliked her, but she never thought her mother would go this far.
