After quickly leaping over a patch of bushes, Kuboert finally discovered the local residents of the Elf Kingdom. Three elves were being surrounded by more than twenty ghouls, trapped on a small clearing.
Although the three elves were very agile, there were no trees here for them to climb. If they tried to leap outward, they would only fall into a tighter encirclement by the enemy. Without the advantage of distance, the ghouls could attack more easily. Their black claws tore at the elves' leather armor multiple times. If these monsters managed to create a wound, the foul power would seep into the victim's body through the ghoul's filthy claws, swiftly weakening them. The thin swords in the elves' hands were clearly not very effective against these undead. The pus-filled, green skin seemed to have a gelatinous coat, making it hard to pierce. Even if they managed to wound the undead, they had to be careful of the splattering liquid from the cuts, which also had weakening properties.
