King Cold led his massive army and arrived in the outer space near Planet Vegeta.
Despite having reached Planet Vegeta, the shrewd and experienced King Cold didn't rush into action.

"Report, Your Majesty! The energy readings on Planet Vegeta are all weak. The highest is only 12,000 in combat power, while the others are around 1."
Staring at Planet Vegeta through the ship's window, King Cold frowned deeply. "Kuriz, are you certain?"
The one reporting was named Kuriz, a frog-like creature and King Cold's dedicated intelligence officer.
After hearing the report, King Cold's frown deepened.

Kuriz's confidence shattered. His already large eyes widened further in sheer terror, cold sweat pouring down his face.
He stood frozen, trembling, until panic snapped him back to reality. Frantically, he screamed:
"Quick! Transmit this information to Lord Cooler immediately!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Activate the ship and retreat from Planet Vegeta! Do it now!"
"Yes, sir!!"
Kuriz dashed toward the ship's control room, aiming to seal the hatch and escape.
But just as he reached the doorway, a massive, blinding energy blast streaked toward his ship at an alarming speed.
"NOOO!!!"
BOOOOM!!!
The energy wave engulfed the ship, triggering a series of explosions that obliterated it entirely.
The one who launched the attack was none other than Saigo.
Sensing that one ship still had occupants, Saigo ensured no enemy could flee by unleashing a devastating Super Ki Blast.
The other two massive ships had already been evacuated, and Saigo intentionally left them intact.
From above, Saigo observed the battlefield below. He saw the enemy forces falling into disarray, with Saiyan warriors evenly matched against their foes.
"Good! Not a single Saiyan has fallen so far!"
Pleased by the lack of casualties on his side, Saigo refrained from further intervention, calmly watching from above. If he noticed any Great Ape struggling, he sent out a Ki Blast to assist.
If an enemy attempted to escape, they were swiftly "rewarded" with another Ki Blast.
As for his duel with King Cold, Saigo decided to grant him the same "courtesy" he had extended to Frieza—except this time, he allowed King Cold a chance to speak.

Though King Cold had exited his ship alongside the main force, he refrained from joining the battle directly. Instead, he lingered, observing and searching for the Saiyan who had killed Frieza.
This caution aligned perfectly with Saigo's intentions. Spotting King Cold standing alone, Saigo flew directly in front of him, stopping three to four meters away.

"Hm? Combat power of 2.5 million? For someone so young, that's remarkable! Are you the one who killed Frieza?" King Cold exclaimed, astonished at the combat power Saigo deliberately revealed.
He had never imagined a Saiyan could possess such strength. Instantly, he concluded that Saigo must be the one who had killed Frieza.
After all, none of the Great Apes below had a combat power exceeding 500,000.
"King Cold, why couldn't you just rule your galaxy in peace? Why must you persist in opposing us Saiyans? If Frieza hadn't been so intent on exterminating us, he wouldn't have died!" Saigo retorted, ignoring King Cold's question and posing one of his own.
