At the break of dawn, Cui Xiaoman tiptoed quietly out of bed, careful not to make a sound.
Lying next to her was Tang Xiaorou, who hadn't closed her eyes all night. Exhausted and with vacant eyes, her swollen eyes had finally found sleep, though she was waking repeatedly.

She dressed and washed up.
