Malachi.
The way she says those words, mildly lifts my spirit. I find it teasing. I want to bask in that tease. But my heart is too sore. I've seen too many deaths and this one hurts the most.
"Don't ask me to leave, Malachi. Let me stay."
I hear her request and I really wish I can grant it. But doing so would be exposing her to the dangers we were born into. Dangers, which I can save her from, if I'm far from her. Regretfully, I shake my head, closing the gap between us.
She breathes softly as I press myself into her, trailing lazy fingers down her face.
"You're really beautiful, do you know that?" I smile, seductively.
She leans into my touch, her eyes shut, as she lulls her head. I want to taste her. I'm already tasting her. I trace my tongue over her delectable skin. Just the tip down her neck. Her jawline. She moans, lulling her head to the side. Giving me more access.
