Chapter 213: The Most Terrifying Wizard in Knockturn Alley – George

In the world of Harry Potter, just a few days before the new school term, George returned to his house in Knockturn Alley in London, England, from Paris, France.

Hermione had returned half a month earlier—after all, her father's dental clinic couldn't stay closed forever.

Amy returned to London with George; she was to serve as the Deputy Director of the Department of International Magical Cooperation at the Ministry of Magic.

Unfortunately, Amy wasn't adept at nonverbal and wandless casting, so she would have to wait until school started to learn from Snape.

Amy was quite capable—one of the top Aurors—but compared to some Hogwarts professors, she was still far behind.

Wizards like Snape, Flitwick, and McGonagall were among the rare few in the entire wizarding world who had no equals. As for Dumbledore, there was no comparison—he was currently the strongest wizard in the entire wizarding world.

Even Voldemort paled in comparison.

This was also why George, despite his current strength, still needed to attend Hogwarts.

There was indeed still much to learn.

Setting aside the magic he learned in other worlds, even just within this world's magical system, his level wasn't especially formidable.

He had simply relied on his multiple minds to learn a vast amount of magic quickly, but in reality, he was only about as skilled as an outstanding seventh-year graduate. His understanding of many magical principles was still not deep enough.

At the very least, he wasn't able to invent new spells like Snape.

Spells like the Fiery Loyalty Charm, Time Reversal Charm, various Weather Charms, powerful curses, Portkeys, magical cars, Floo Network—there were still many things he had to learn gradually.

All of these had great significance across various worlds.

Of course, that wasn't to say his strength was lacking—if it came down to pure combat ability, combining his current abilities, magic from other worlds, and his superpowers, even a resurrected Voldemort wouldn't faze him.

As for Dumbledore, in a real fight, it would be hard to say who would win.

"Sirius Black—that guy is actually pretty impressive."

On the last day before the new term, George, having finished his breakfast, glanced at today's Daily Prophet article about Sirius Black's escape and couldn't help but sigh.

Sirius had broken out of prison some time ago, and the Ministry of Magic, desperate to save face, had even mobilized its administrative staff, but still failed to locate him.

Ultimately, it was because the Ministry didn't know that Sirius was an Animagus, able to transform into an animal to evade capture.

Speaking of Animagi, George had already found the operational steps for Animagus transformation in the library long ago—he just hadn't tried it yet.

On one hand, it was very troublesome; it could take several months to complete, even at best, it would take a month.

On the other hand, he felt that turning into an ordinary animal held little use for him now—he was considering whether, in the future, he might be able to transform into a magical creature.

Normally, Animagi couldn't turn into magical creatures, only regular animals.

But he wondered if, in the future, should his Fairy Tail counterpart obtain a Dragon Crystal and acquire the constitution of a Dragon Slayer, he might then have the chance to transform into a dragon during the Animagus process.

And not just the dumb dragons of the Harry Potter world, but the real magical dragons from the Fairy Tail world.

"George, George, are you home?"

Just as George was sitting in the yard, drinking tea and reading the Daily Prophet, two familiar voices suddenly called out from outside the small shop.

Getting up and walking to the door, he saw that the visitors were none other than Hermione, Ginny, Harry, Ron, and the Weasley twins.

"What are you all doing here?"

George hadn't expected them to come looking for him in Knockturn Alley—after all, proper wizards usually avoided this place, and many young wizards were warned not to come here at all.

"We came to buy our new textbooks for the term," Hermione and Ginny said in unison.

It turned out that earlier that morning, the Weasley and Granger families had arrived at Diagon Alley, planning to buy all the school supplies that day, spend the night at the Leaky Cauldron, and head to the train station early the next morning to avoid a last-minute rush.

Coincidentally, Harry was currently staying at the Leaky Cauldron after inflating Aunt Marge with the Expansion Charm.

While chatting, they brought up George. Upon learning that he was staying in Knockturn Alley, a few ideas sparked.

The Weasley twins had always been deeply curious about Knockturn Alley, Hermione and Ginny harbored a certain fondness for George, Harry had visited once last year but in a rush and hadn't seen much, and Ron was simply curious.

So, the group secretly snuck away from their parents, saying they were going to Diagon Alley to shop for school items, but in reality, they quietly slipped into Knockturn Alley.

After hearing this, George could only say: "Truly worthy of being all Gryffindors—your guts are enormous."

"Alright then, let's go. I really haven't had time to buy a few of this year's textbooks yet."

George closed the door and headed toward Diagon Alley with the others.

He had already finished reading the second-year textbooks long ago, but this year's books were somewhat different from last year's—for example, the Monster Book of Monsters for Care of Magical Creatures.

"George, I really admire you for being able to live here so safely."

On the way back to Diagon Alley, Ron said to George with lingering fear.

Knockturn Alley wasn't just terrifying in terms of the shops—it was the wizards themselves who looked extremely shady.

If they hadn't all drawn their wands just now, ready to counterattack at any moment, they'd have worried about being kidnapped and eaten by the dark wizards there.

"Huh? Why are they acting like this all of a sudden?"

Just after Ron finished speaking, he noticed that the current scene was completely different from when they had first entered.

When they first arrived, even with wands drawn, those hideous-looking wizards were like big bad wolves eyeing little white rabbits—their eyes full of greed.

But now, before they had even taken out their wands, those wizards merely glanced at them and quickly turned away, clearly afraid to get involved.

The greed in their eyes had all turned into fear.

Several shops along the street even closed their doors directly.

"Oh, it's nothing. Most of the wizards here aren't right in the head—maybe they just lost it," George said offhandedly, brushing it off.

But in truth, it had everything to do with him.

In the days since his return to Knockturn Alley, he hadn't been idle.

To prevent his shop from being burgled while he was away at school, he had personally visited every shop along the street for some very "friendly" negotiations with the owners.

He hadn't spared the dark wizards who frequented the alley either.

After being electrocuted inside and out several times, these dark wizards now trembled at the mere sight of him.

That frail little slave once adopted by an old dark wizard had now become the most terrifying wizard in all of Knockturn Alley.
