Chapter 22 - 21 ACCEPTANCE

It was 3 am in the morning and Taehyung woke up to his baby crying from the other room. He was about to stand up to check on Haneul when Jungkook pulled him back to bed gently.

"I'll take care if it. She probably dropped Mr. Bunny on the floor again. Go back to sleep, you're in bed rest remember?" Jungkook said as he helped an 8-month pregnant Taehyung back to bed.

Yes, Taehyung's pregnant again as they thought that it would be safe to have unprotected sex two months after Taehyung gave birth to Haneul. They were so wrong on that. So, Taehyung got pregnant again but this time, they're having a little boy.

"Thanks, love." Taehyung said as he went back to bed.

Jungkook went to Haneul's room and found their 10-month old baby sitting on her crib, rubbing her eyes as she cried.

"Why is my little angel crying?" Jungkook asked as he looked at his baby girl.

Haneul looked back up and raised her hand, opening and closing it.

"Oh, my baby's hungry?" Jungkook said as he lifted her from the crib.

They taught her sign lamguage to communicate what she wanted since she can't talk yet.

"Okay, let's go get your milk." Jungkook said as he went down with Haneul to the kitchen to get a bottle of stored breast milk.

As Jungkoik got one, he showed the bottle to Haneul and the baby cried louder and tried to move the bottle away. She made the hand gesture again and Jungkook understood.

"You want eomma, huh?" Jungkook asked and it seems like Haneul understood since she suddenly clapped her hands, making Jungkook coo at her.

"Yeah, I know the feeling, Hannie. So, let's go to your eomma." Jungkook said, knowing that Haneul won't really understand what he meant.

Jungkook went up again and went straight to their room, finding Taehyung sitting down and scrolling through his phone.

"Tsk. Didn't I tell you to go back to sleep?" Jungkook said, shaking his head.

"I felt my breast swell, so I figured she wants to feed and I was right, wasn't I?" Taehyung asked as he watched Haneul reaching out for him.

"Your connection amazes me." Jungkook said as he handed Hannie to Taehyung.

Taeh immediately opened his robe and started feeding Haneul.

"Angel, don't squeeze eomma's breast please, it hurts." Taehyung said talking to his daughter.

"You never complain when I do it though." Jungkook said.

Taehyung glared at Jungkook.

"What? I'm just saying." Jungkook said, chuckling.

"You see this?" Taehyung said while pointing at his big belly.

"This is all your fault." Taehyung said.

"Hmmm...I don't think so. If I remember it correctly, I was already sleeping when someone decided to wake me up in the middle of the night in a not so wholesome way." Jungkook said as he snuggled close to Taehyung while the latter breastfeeds Haneul.

"Still your fault. Who told you to sleep topless?" Taehyung said.

"It was summer, Taeh. I felt hot." Jungkook said.

"You were hot." Taehyung said.

"See? That...that mouth of yours is the one to blame." Jungkook said and the two laughed.

"Are we stopping at two kids?" Taehyung asked.

"Hmmm, well if it were up to me, I'd say no. I always wanted a big family. But, what about you? How do you feel about it? Don't you find pregnancy difficult?" Jungkook asked.

"It is hard and painful, but you know what? The first time I saw Hannie, I couldn't even recall the pain of giving birth. It was so worth it. I bet I'd feel the same way when I see Kumo. So, yeah, I think I'm okay with more than two, but can we place a gap in between? Like two or three years?" Taehyung asked.

"Of course love. Now we know better." Jungkook said.

Taehyung looked at Haneul and noticed that she was already sleeping.

"Kook, she's done. Can you put her back please?" Taehyung asked.

"On it." Jungkook said as he slowly took Haneul from Taehyung's arms.

While Jungkook, brought Haneul to her room, Taehyung went to the bathroom to pee. He also decided to change his clothes and put on a maternity night dress as he's feeling hot as well.

He came out of the bathroom at the same time Jungkook entered the bedroom. The latter froze and looked at Taehyung from head to toe.

"Let's sleep love?" Taehyung said as he walked towards the bed, oblivious of Jungkook's hungry eyes.

Jungkook followed Taehyung and backhugged him.

"You look so sexy, love." Jungkook said as he started kissing Taehyung's neck making the latter moan softly.

"Mr. Kim, what do you think you're doing, hmmm?" Taehyung asked his husband. Yes — they're married for five months now. And as agreed, Jungkook is now a Kim.

"Kissing my wife who looks like a meal right now." Jungkook mumbled.

"Well, park that thought as you know what the doctor said. No sex and no orgasms if we don't want to trigger premature labor again." Taehyung said and Jungkook groaned.

"Why must you wear that?" Jungkook asked, burying his nose on Taehyung's neck.

"It's a maternity night gown, Kook. When do you expect for me to wear it then?" Taehyung giggled as he turned around and pecked on Jungkook's lips.

"Wear it again even after giving birth, okay?" Jungkook said as he pecked back.

"Yes, captain. Now, can we sleep? I bet Hannie will wake up in three or four hours from now." Taehyung said before pulling away and headed for the bed. He held Jungkook's wrist and dragged him along.

They both laid in bed and was about to sleep when Haneul started crying again.

"Just bring her here Kook and let her sleep with us for tonight. I think she feels that she won't be the only baby soon. She's been extra clingy these past few weeks." Taehyung said.

"We have to address that and figure out what to do if they both get hungry at the same time." Jungkook said.

"I'll manage, I have two breasts after all. I've read about tandem breastfeeding and it's possible." Taehyung said.

"Really?! Shall we practice?" Jungkook said excitedly making Taehyung laugh and hit his husband's chest.

"Shut up and go get your daughter." Taehyung said shaking his head.

"Just trying to be a helpful husband you know." Jungkook whined.

"Whatever, Kook, now go quickly before she hurts her vocal chords." Taehyung said, so done with his husband.

🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫🛫

Six weeks later, Taehyung gave birth to a 6-lb baby Kim Jeon Kumo. Unlike her birthing ordeal the first time, this one went smoothly to the point that Taeh just had to stay at the hospital for two days since it was a normal delivery. And, today was the day they bring Kumo home to meet his unnie.

"I'm nervous. I don't know how Haneul's behavior would be around Kumo. She wouldn't understand yet and it would be a challenge to make her understand, don't you think so?" Taehyung asked Jungkook who was driving.

"I think it would be fine, we just need to train her and make sure that we give them equal attention." Jungkook said.

"I just don't want either of them to feel left out." Tarhyung said.

"Exactly, and we won't. As you said, you can tandem breastfeed and we can involve Haneul everytime we need to do something for Kumo. I think we can work it out." Jungkook said.

"I miss Hannie so much. This is the first time I've been away from her and it was grueling. Has she been crying?" Taehyung said.

"Eomma said she has grown to like Jimin's presence a lot. You and your best friend are alike in so many ways. She's so comfortable with him, she is mini-Tae after all. Plus, she likes Jin hyung too. So, they've got you covered while you were away." Jungkook said.

"You think she would still recognize me?" Taehyung asked and Jungkook laughed.

"Of course love! Eomma's are hard to replace after all." Jungkook said.

"You're absolutely right on that." Taehyung said.

"Um, love. Speaking of replacements, don't get mad okay? Eomma, Jimin and Jin hyung weren't available today, so we had to find other reinforcements available." Jungkook said.

"Who's watching her now?" Taehyung asked.

"Mi-so." Taehyung's eyes widened hearing his step-mom's name.

"What?! Does she even know how to take care of a baby? She doesn't know crap but put her make-up on and spend my father's money." Taehyung sarcastically said.

"Calm down, love. Apparently, she took nursing and she was the one who actually volunteered to take care of Hannie. She's with appa Kim now." Jungkook said.

Taehyung sighed and just kept quiet. He never did spend time with Mi-so before. In fact, he never even tried to converse with her for more than a sentence or two. He just immediately hated her and judged her since she was much younger than his dad. And the fact that they got married only a year after her mom's death irked him more. He asked his father why he was marrying her and he said that it's for companionship and he didn't buy it. He just jumped to the conclusion that Mi-so might have been around even when his mother was still alive. You can't blame him though with his father's track record of cheating on his mother.

"Are you okay, love? I'm sorry if I didn't ask you first." Jungkook said.

"It's okay, knowing you, I'm sure you've exhausted all options before you chose her." Taehyung said.

"I swear I really did." Jungkook said.

"It's fine love. Now step on the gas I want to get home sooner." Taehyung said.

"Love, Kumo is at the backseat." Jungkook said.

"Oh, yeah. Shit, I'm such a bad mother." Taehyung said covering his mouth.

"No, you're not. You want to go home and check on Haneul, right?" Jungkook said.

"While forgetting about my son." Taehyung said.

"Love..."

"Hmmm?"

"Stop overthinking, hmm? You are the best mom for our kids and they're lucky to have you." Jungkook said as he held Taehyung's hand and kissed it.

'Thank you, love." Taehyung said as he smiled at Jungkook.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at their house and Taehyung told Jungkook to be the one to carry Kumo with him as he badly wanted to check on Haneul already.

Jungkook understood and watched as Taehyung ran towards the house as if he didn't just give birth two days prior.

"Taeh! Your stitches!!" Jungkook asked but Taehyung just ignored him.

Taehyung quickly keyed in their security code and when he got to the living room, he was relieved when he saw the scene in front of him.

Mi-so was playing with Hannie and the latter was giggling like crazy. She was enjoying their moment that she didn't notice Taehyung standing there.

"Taehyung! You're home!" Ji-Hoon said who came from the kitchen carrying a bowl of popcorn. He placed it down on the table and gave Taehyung a hug. "But, where's the baby?" He asked.

"With Jungkook. They'll be up in a minute. I just missed Hannie so much, so I went ahead." Taehyung said.

"Look, Haneul! Eomma's home!" Mi-so said.

When Haneul looked at Taehyung, she extended her arms and made the "feed me" hand gesture. Mi-so placed Haneul on the floor and Taehyung was about to stop her when Ji-hoon told him to just observe.

Taehyung looked at Haneul and to his surprise, the baby crawled towards him and seconds later, Haneul was pulling herself up by gripping on Taehyung's pants.

Tears welled up in Taehyung's eyes as it's the first time he saw Haneul stand up. He sat down on the floor and hugged her.

"You were so good, Hannie. Eomma's so proud of you, such a big girl you are." Taehyung said, making Haneul giggle.

"Mi-so taught her how to do that. She's been placing Mr. Bunny on elevated areas that she can only reach if she's standing." Ji-hoon explained.

Taehyung looked at Mi-so. "Thank you, where did you learn to do that?"

"I was specializing in pediatric nursing before." Mi-So shyly said.

"I see. So, why didn't you continue?" Taehyung said.

"I had to stop as we needed the money for my appa's surgery." Mi-So said.

"Oh, but you can continue now. I mean, appa can support your education. Right, appa?" Taehyung looked at his father.

"That's what I said too, but she hesitated. She said it might not look good for her as people might think she married me for my money." Ji-hoon said.

Taehyung wanted to slap himself for even thinking lowly of Mi-so when she was the complete opposite of that.

"But, that's non-sense. You should continue, noona. I bet you're getting bored at home when you can do so much for yourself. You should let appa finance your tuition. I mean, he's your husband after all." Taehyung said and with that, he saw how Mi-So's eyes welled with tears.

"You mean that, Taeh? You wouldn't mind?" Mi-so asked, with her voice breaking. Taehyung's heart clenched.

Was she just waiting for my blessing? Taehyung thought and he felt so bad that he walked towards Mi-so and gave her a hug.

"We're family, noona. We're supposed to help each other." Tarhyung said while hugging her.

With that, Mi-so broke down in tears. "Thank you, Taehyung."

Just then, Jungkook entered with the baby basket.

"Did I miss anything?" Jungkook asked as he looked at Ji-hoon who was wiping his tears away.

"Nothing much, son. Just your usual family drama. Now, let me see that little Kim." Ji-hoon said as he took the baby basket from Jungkook and then carried his grandson.

"Would you look at that. A Kim who looks like a Jeon. Man, I'm not gonna hear the end of it from Ji Mo." Ji-hoon said and Jungkook laughed at that.

Taehyung pulled away from Mi-so and asked her.

"Now, what's the best way for us to introduce Kumo to her unnie?" Taehyung asked Mi-so while wiping his tears.

Mi-so smiled and wiped her own tears. She looked at Jungkook and told him to carry Kumo and show him to Haneul while the latter stays with Taehyung.

Ji-hoon handed the baby to Jungkook and the latter brought Kumo over to Taehyung and Haneul who were sitting down the couch.

Jungkook sat down beside them while Haneul looked at him.

"Hannie, I want you to meet your baby brother, Kumo." Jungkook said.

Ten-month old Hannie looked at her baby brother and suddenly clapped her hands.

"Awww, is my little angel happy?" Taehyung asked as they knew that Hannie claps when she's happy.

Jungkook and Taehyung looked at each other fondly and then at their two babies.

"She will be a great unnie to Kumo." Jungkook said.

"I bet she will." Taehyung said as he watched Haneul touch her brother l's hand gently.

"U-mo." Haneul mumbled.

"What's that, Hannie?" Taehyung asked, thinking that he might just be hearing things.

Haneul pointed at Kumo and repeated what she said.

"U-mo"

"Omo, is that your first word, baby? Not even mama or dada? It's your brother's name?" Taehyung asked.

Haneul started bouncing and clapping her hands once again while saying,

"U-mo, u-mo, u-mo"

The adults in the room all cooed at Haneul's reaction and the parents can't be any happier.

"Have you told her Kumo's name before?" Mi-so asked.

"Yes, I would always point at my tummy and tell her that her baby brother Kumo is inside. We tell her that all the time." Taehyung said.

"Wow, you have a very smart daughter then. She's only ten months and she was able to associate and remember that." Mi-so said.

"She's a Kim after all." Ji-hoon said.

"A Kim Jeon, appa." Taehyung fondly corrected his father as he held Jungkook's hands.

"Greatest combination of all." Jungkook said as he looked at Taehyung.

"Have to agree with you on that hubby." Taehyung said as he leaned over and kissed Jungkook.

"I love you so much, Cap. Thank you for these two angels." Taehyung said.

"And I love you more, wifey." Jungkook said.

Kim Jeon is love 💜
