Clap, clap, clap.

Ye Wen walked over, clapping and praising.

"It's hard to imagine that someone from a civilian soul master background could have such outstanding combat skills. No wonder Xiao Quan was suppressed by you even without using his soul skills."

"Master, I haven't lost yet—I can still—"

Dugu Xin tried to say something, but Ye Wen shook his head to stop him.

"Xiao Xin, losing is losing.

In the world of soul masters, your enemies won't follow these duel rules. They'll use every possible means to kill you. If Ah Ba had attacked you with murderous intent just now, you'd already be dead."

Dugu Xin fell silent. Though Dugu Bo had once explained some things about the soul master world to him when he was younger, he hadn't taken it seriously at the time. Now, being defeated so decisively by someone self-taught made him feel deeply frustrated.

Ye Wen clearly understood what he was thinking and consoled him: "Though I've always said that soul master battles are about martial souls, one cannot ignore combat techniques. Although Xiao Quan has been neglecting his cultivation, the combat experience he's accumulated in the spirit battle arena is very real.

As for you, ever since you joined my tutelage, you've been focusing on developing self-created soul skills and cultivating as a soul master, which has caused you to overlook the importance of practical combat. So, for the time being, go to the spirit battle arena and fight there. Don't return to the academy until you've reached Silver Spirit Battle level."

"Yes, Master."

Dugu Xin finally let go of his frustration and accepted Ye Wen's arrangement with equanimity.

Meanwhile, Ah Ba, excited, asked:

"Can I become your disciple now?"

Ye Wen nodded. Ah Ba respectfully bowed and called out, "Teacher."

"Though you've joined my tutelage, you're currently only a nominal disciple. Whether you become a direct disciple will depend on your future performance. However, I treat all disciples equally, whether nominal or direct, so don't worry.

If you have any questions about martial soul cultivation in the future, feel free to ask me."

Ye Wen led the two newly accepted nominal disciples into the depths of the Blue Silver Forest.

This was where Ye Wen and the core members of the academy resided. It was also the area with the densest life energy in the entire Blue Silver Forest. Training here not only healed hidden injuries and improved aptitude but also nourished the body and accelerated martial soul cultivation.

Upon stepping into this place, Ah Ba felt an intense itch all over his body and couldn't help but groan softly.

Ye Wen brought him into the medical room, where Su Qiaoqiao was still studying the medical books Ye Wen had left behind.

"Master," Su Qiaoqiao greeted respectfully.

Ye Wen gave a simple nod and instructed Ah Ba to lie down on the patient bed.

"What's going on, Master?!" Ah Ba asked, confused.

"I'm treating your injuries. The reason your cultivation has stagnated is because your body has been severely overused. Without proper treatment, forget about cultivation—it's questionable whether you'll live past 20."

With that, Ye Wen cleaned his hands, then called Su Qiaoqiao over.

"Qiaoqiao, pay close attention to this treatment. Fixing a body this battered isn't going to be easy."

"Yes," Su Qiaoqiao replied earnestly.

Once soul masters reached the Soul King level, they could generally use their spiritual power to some extent to examine the human body. In the original story, Shrek Academy used this ability to assess students' bone age during enrollment.

Though Ye Wen was only at the quasi-Soul Sage level, his spiritual power had undoubtedly reached the threshold of the Spirit Abyss Realm, equivalent to a Title Douluo.

Ye Wen brought his hands together slightly, forming a transparent sphere of soul power in his palms. He expanded it to envelop Ah Ba's body.

"Internal organ damage, mild muscle strain throughout the body, overloaded soul power meridians, 48 minor fractures in bones across the body, and initial abnormalities in blood production."

Though many of the terms were unfamiliar to Ah Ba, he understood enough to realize how severe his condition was.

Su Qiaoqiao, on the other hand, grew increasingly astonished. That someone could still move with such injuries was itself a miracle.

Ye Wen furrowed his brows slightly. He knew Ah Ba would have sustained injuries while pushing his limits to reach his current level despite his disadvantaged martial soul, but he hadn't expected them to be this serious.

"Qiaoqiao, go fetch your mistress. This treatment will be difficult to carry out without her assistance."

A short while later, Ah Yin arrived, accompanied by several other disciples, including Chen Youyu, who had been arranging accommodations earlier. Seeing the group heading toward her brother, she grew worried and followed them.

Seeing the crowd gathering, Ye Wen frowned.

"What's going on? Go watch the spectacle elsewhere—we're starting the treatment now."

With that, he pushed Ah Ba into the operating room. A major surgery was about to begin. Though Ye Wen wasn't particularly skilled in internal or external medicine in his previous life, he had some basic knowledge. Combined with the miraculous possibilities of this fantasy world, many treatments that were impossible in his past life could now be achieved here.

Among the disciples, Chen Youyu only recognized Hu Rou. She nervously approached her to inquire about Ah Ba's condition.

"I don't know much, but don't worry, little sister. Master's medical skills are among the best on the continent. Have you heard of medical soul masters? That's something our master invented.

And he's even called Mistress in to assist. Mistress is an expert in vitality—you really don't need to worry. Just wait for good news."

Hu Rou cheerfully reassured her while introducing this new nominal disciple to the other fellow disciples.

Because Ye Wen treated everyone equally, the relationships between direct and nominal disciples were very harmonious.

In this atmosphere, Chen Youyu felt somewhat reassured, though she still couldn't help but worry as she glanced at the operating room.

The internal organ damage was manageable—Ye Wen could repair it easily with a small amount of immortal herb essence.

The most troublesome part was the numerous strains and injuries scattered throughout Ah Ba's body. These intricate repairs were the hardest. Without advanced medical equipment, Ye Wen could only rely on Ah Yin's vitality-infused soul power to assist while he focused on repairing the damage using Su Qiaoqiao's martial soul.

Though Ah Ba, the battle maniac, wasn't afraid of pain, Ye Wen still administered pre-prepared anesthetic drugs to knock him unconscious.

Su Qiaoqiao activated her soul skill, while Ye Wen quickly made incisions in various parts of Ah Ba's body, swiftly stitching and sealing them.

Watching this series of operations, Su Qiaoqiao was completely absorbed.
