The next morning—

The dimly lit hidden chamber was filled with a dizzying, thick aroma.

Ye Wen felt his eyelids were extraordinarily heavy, but his biological clock forced him awake.

Although the battle last night had ended in Ye Wen's victory, it was a pyrrhic one.

Rubbing his throbbing head, Ye Wen sighed.

Bibi Dong had been relentless—truly exhausting. If he hadn't used divine power to recover his stamina at the end, he wouldn't have been able to overpower her.

Though the experience of being drained dry had been uncomfortable, now that he thought about it calmly, it had its own unique charm.

{T/N: Post nut clarity kicking in lol}

It was only 9 a.m., yet the passionate companion from last night had already vanished without a trace.

Even though the Pope wasn't an emperor from feudal times who needed to hold morning court, Bibi Dong was still incredibly diligent.

Eighty percent of Bibi Dong's busyness was likely caused by the trouble Tang Hao had stirred up. Otherwise, how many official matters would there be in this feudal-era Douluo Continent that required Bibi Dong's personal attention?

Still, this kind of work ethic would have made her a model career woman in his previous life—if not for her occasional lapses into romantic obsession.

Stepping out of Bibi Dong's "love chamber," Ye Wen shielded his eyes from the bright sunlight. The sun was blazing today.

After last night's intimate encounter, Ye Wen wasn't foolish enough to return directly to Tianxing Academy. Did he really think women wouldn't make a fuss?

With nothing pressing to do, he decided to take a break. It was settled—this day off was well-deserved.

Even after becoming a god, humans were still human at their core. No matter how obsessed they were with certain aspects of life, they still needed other activities to balance things out. Otherwise, madness was inevitable.

Speaking of which, the gods in this Douluo world were disappointingly limited. Despite being gods, their endurance in certain areas wasn't infinite—a poor design choice.

Ye Wen didn't wander around Spirit City but instead explored the Spirit Hall area.

As the heart of the Spirit Hall's power, the Spirit Hall consisted of four main halls.

First was the Douluo Hall, where Title Douluos who had broken through were recorded. Their titles, achievements, and even their burial sites were inscribed here. Due to its solemnity, aside from the guards, few people visited.

Come to think of it, those Title Douluos with soul bones had it the worst. Even in death, they couldn't rest in peace. Soul bones didn't automatically drop upon death—they had to be forcibly extracted from the corpse.

No matter how sacred and solemn the Douluo Hall was, the descendants of these Title Douluos wouldn't let valuable soul bones go to waste. They'd desecrate the bodies of fallen Title Douluos without hesitation—it was truly disheartening.

Next was the Elder Hall, whose main members were high-ranking Spirit Hall officials who had broken through to become Title Douluos. Originally, they were directly subordinate to the Pope.

But that was for the original Spirit Hall under the Thousand Surnames clan. Now, Bibi Dong couldn't command some of these arrogant Title Douluos.

But so what?

With Ye Wen backing Bibi Dong, these low-level Title Douluos—none of whom had reached level 95—were mere mascots. The various branch halls across the Douluo Continent had long been hollowed out by Bibi Dong.

Then there was the Pope's Hall—nothing special to say here. It was Bibi Dong's current domain, a place for meetings and a symbol of the Pope's authority.

The true essence of the Spirit Hall lay in the Shrine of Offerings—the deepest foundation of its foundations.

Led by Grand Elder Qian Daoliu, the shrine housed seven Super Douluos.

They held absolute authority, free to act independently without obeying the Pope's commands. They were an extraordinary and powerful force within the Spirit Hall.

Though they only appeared late in the storyline, even Tang San, who had already ascended to godhood, didn't dare underestimate these elders.

To be honest, Qian Renxue's plan to seize control of the continent in the original story was utterly brain-dead.

If the goal was to unify the Douluo Continent, why not simply unleash these seven Super Douluo elders? With a wave of their hands, they could annihilate the royal families of both empires. Combined with the vast base of civilian soul masters, a single rallying cry would establish a new Spirit Empire.

Instead, the Spirit Hall's internal affairs turned into a melodramatic family soap opera. A hand full of aces was squandered, allowing Tang San's scattered cards to win.

It was absurd.

Moreover, Qian Renxue had spared Tang San multiple times before the final battle. How could she prioritize romance over national affairs? Acting so frivolously, did she really expect to succeed?

Thinking back, Ye Wen had facepalmed when he read the later parts of the plot in his previous life. What nonsense was this?

At this thought, Ye Wen paused mid-step.

His original plan was to let Qian Renxue inherit the Angel God position to confront Tang San.

Now, whether Tang San could defeat Qian Renxue was uncertain.

If Qian Renxue killed Tang San outright, that would be even better—let the second-generation Angel God argue with the Asura God in the divine realm.

But considering the Asura God's shamelessness, might he resort to underhanded tactics like golden liquids?

Ye Wen's expression darkened.

If the future unfolded as expected, it would be an enormous waste.

Over the years, holding the Sea God's divine core hadn't been without purpose.

At the very least, Ye Wen had figured out the structure of the divine core. With sufficient materials and time, he could craft a blank divine core himself.

The most critical factor was the materials.

The primary material for a divine core was vast amounts of faith energy. Soul masters used their martial souls as a core to condense this faith energy, continuously fusing it with their understanding of the rules embodied in their martial souls. This fusion was compressed until it underwent a qualitative change, producing divine power—the most primitive form of a divine core.

For ordinary soul masters, gathering faith energy was the biggest challenge. Without reaching level 99, they couldn't even perceive this intangible force.

The subsequent compression and fusion processes were even more difficult.

Moreover, Ye Wen knew that Douluo Planet had already stopped allowing ordinary life forms to condense divine cores. The essence of faith energy was tied to Douluo Planet's most crucial core—the Primordial Light.

"Primordial Light" was a name Ye Wen had coined, symbolizing the origin before all things came into existence.

The role of Primordial Light was to bestow life with spirit and intelligence, as well as generate extraordinary substances like spiritual qi.

Though Douluo Planet still appeared vibrant and thriving, this was because the source of life hadn't suffered significant losses and could naturally sustain life.

However, compared to the ancient Dragon God era, the cultivation environment had deteriorated drastically. If a few more gods were to emerge, Douluo Planet would directly enter an age of decline.

Thus, theoretically, the only two paths to godhood were either inheriting a divine seat or nothing else.

If Tang San and Qian Renxue's final battle ended with Qian Renxue's defeat, her divine core would likely be destroyed by Tang San, just as in the original story.

As for the result—

In the short term, the destruction of a divine core could indeed restore some of Douluo Planet's Primordial Light essence.

But that wasn't how the accounting worked.
