I cheated on him?
I couldn't wrap my head around it. When was this?
Before my courage could falter, I walked into the building and went straight to Christian's office. Vera was seated outside. She stood the second she saw me.
When she noticed I wasn't slowing down, she ran to Christian's door, blocking my path.
"He's in an important meeting. You can't barge in like that again."
"Move." I commanded.
It had no effect on her. She didn't even flinch. She looked me in the eyes, as if daring me.
It infuriated me. None of his staff had any respect for me.
Anger surged through my body, and i acted before I thought.
I shoved Vera, and she lost her balance, hitting the door and falling to the ground on her ass. I hadn't pushed very hard, and I certainly didn't expected her to fall.
Immediately, I regretted my action.
Before I could rectify the situation, Christian's office door opened.
