Chapter 128 - Experience Points

As Denwen stepped across the immaculate white floor, the air around him shimmered with an artificial stillness, like the world itself was holding its breath. The vast expanse stretched in all directions, boundless and sterile, but ahead—anchoring the dreamlike void—stood five monolithic towers, each a monument of raw power and focused purpose.

They rose like ancient gods from the white marble, impossibly tall, each wrapped in a glow that pulsed with a life of its own. From his distance, the towers almost looked identical in size, but as Denwen narrowed his gaze, subtle differences emerged—each one marked by a different aura, a different heartbeat.

The first, a tower cast in obsidian-black stone, radiated a weighty pressure that seemed to press down on the soul itself. Crimson sigils crawled across its surface like molten veins. Above its high archway, the word Strength blazed in deep red letters that flickered like embers. Even from afar, Denwen felt his bones tighten in response, his muscles instinctively flexing under the tower's distant gaze.

The second shimmered in sleek silver, its edges so clean they could cut thought. Wisps of wind danced around it, playful and dangerous. Lightning flickered near its pinnacle, not with thunderous threat but with precision and speed. Agility, it read—etched in glowing cyan, shifting subtly as if the letters themselves refused to stay still.

The third tower stood broad and wide, built from solid granite and wrapped in ivy-like emerald energy. There was no movement to it, only the sense of relentless endurance. It pulsed slowly, like a giant's heartbeat. The label above its entrance—Stamina—glowed a steady forest green, unwavering, resolute.

Beside it, the fourth tower exuded a warm, golden hue. Sunlight—though no sun could be seen—seemed to pool at its feet. Carvings of trees, rivers, and beasts adorned its foundation, and the atmosphere around it thrummed with primal life. Vitality, the sign declared in radiant orange script, as if life itself had written it.

The Support Tower rose with the same height as its peers, yet carried a presence uniquely its own—subtle, serene, and unwavering. Formed from smooth pale stone laced with translucent crystal, it shimmered with soft hues of silver, rose, and blue that shifted gently across its surface. Light vines of glowing ivy traced its base, pulsing faintly with warmth, while a soothing chime lingered in the air, like distant glass bells stirred by wind. Unlike the raw power of the other towers, this one exuded quiet strength—a promise of healing, protection, and enhancement. Above its arched entrance glowed a radiant sigil of an open hand wreathed in threads of light, and beneath it, a single word etched in old runes: Support.

Drawn forward by both awe and curiosity, Denwen arrived at the polished front desk—a floating semicircular counter formed from crystal and lined with glowing lines of gold. A receptionist-like construct stood behind it, faceless and ethereal, waiting without motion or sound.

And yet Denwen couldn't take his eyes off the towers. Each of them felt like a test… and an invitation.

"Don't be too surprised by the towers sir host, each of these towers are here to help you grow stronger and gather more amazing skills" the attendant said getting his attention his massive wings began pointing to each of the towers as the lit up:

"From the strength tower you can get a massive boost in your strength more than you can imagine and unique skills to go along with that, the same goes for every other tower except for support, support would give you not so much boost in your stats but there would be a balanced increase in all of them and grant you unique skills that you can't get from the others that can aid you" the attendant said.

"Uhm dungeon Riven, can I call you that…" Denwen asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, any moniker the host sees fit for me shall become mine to bear" Dungeon Riven responded with respect causing Denwen to give a side glace at Riven who just looked away.

"So, you are basically saying that I can continue to grow exponentially the more I make use of these towers to farm stat points" he asked with a grin

"Yes, that is what it entails but you can only access them by using your experience points" it said as it brought out the price list of the various dungeon towers:

"Support would cost just 5,000, Vitality tower would cost 20,000 points to access, Stamina would cost 45,000 points to access, Agility would cost 50,000 points and Strength would cost 100,000 points. The difficulty of each dungeon rises with your level" it replied.

"Wait how many points do I have currently: MENU" he called out:

Host: Denwen Amun Ra

Race: Human

Rank: Peak Rank 2

Experience Points: 10,000

{Stats}…

"Hahahahaha, your broke ass can't even buy you a proper access to the support dungeon without going bankrupt" Riven spoke laughing out loudly.

Denwen clenched his hands into a fist as he ignored the annoying eyeball: "How can I get more experience points to spend then" he asked Dungeon Riven.

"You can accumulate experience points by engaging in grueling and extensive battles in the real world like the one you were victorious in yesterday, congratulations on your victory once again" it said with a slight bow.

Denwen was in deep thought analyzing this statement, the Crystalvores he faced were quite dangerous and yet he only ended up with 10k, doesn't that mean to even be able to afford the strength dungeon he would need to go into a battle ten times worse than fighting against the Crystalvores. He though about it sweat beginning to form across his face.

"Don't be so beaten-up host, in the Nexus Vault Experience points is the only currency you can use to purchase anything, I am sure you can do it" Dungeon Riven comforted him.

"You know I actually wish you would jump right into a strength tower and die straight away that would just be hilarious" Riven said in another fit of laughter.

"Wait I can die in there" the thought suddenly hit him as he blurted out the question.

"Of course, do you think that the dungeon tower is some VR simulation, the only way you can come back is either by clearing the dungeon, or using an escape card or a revive card which you can purchase from the dungeon store" Riven replied as Dungeon Riven waved its massive wings opening a store menu.

"Sir host…" it was about to talk when Riven butted in.

"Shut up you lifeless construct, I would be doing the talking from now on" it said causing Denwen to shake his head wrly.
