Unable to contain her curiosity, Aurora finally asked, "Alex, are we going to your office?"
"Hmm, it's Monday. I have something important to do," Alex replied, then turned his attention back to his iPad as if he didn't want to continue the conversation even for another second.
Nevertheless, Aurora still felt restless. Something is still bugging her mind.
She hesitantly asked once more, "Can I go straight home without stopping by your office? I really don't want anyone to see us walking together, and neither do you," she pleaded and reasoned earnestly.
Alex frowned as he looked at her.
"Oh. Okay. You may be right. Come to think of it, I initially didn't intend to ask you to stop by. Anyway, if you wish to go straight home, my driver will take you home directly after dropping me off at the office."
'What the…' Aurora muttered in frustration. Alex's answer instantly embarrassed her, her cheeks heating up as she realized her mistake.
