Alex smiled softly upon hearing her question.
"Rory, you don't need to worry about them. I spoke with Patrick, and it won't be an issue for our professor. I'll let him know how brilliant you are."
"Because you're so brilliant, I hired you without hesitation. Also, I will mention to the professor that I'm so worried another company might try to poach you!"

"Besides... when you assume your old position, you'll also have your role to assist Patrick with the company's cybersecurity."
Aurora was lost in thought. She was unsure whether she wanted this or not.
She remembered that in her previous life, she loved her job. Working alongside Alex, she never felt pressured; she enjoyed it.
