"... So that's what you meant by those words, huh!" Xiaoya Feng glanced at her master.

He sat down in the lotus position while his severed head was on his lap.

Many females in white dress were in the bedroom as they cried like babies whose candy was stolen from them.

"Old hag, you are really annoying." Xiaoya Feng exhaled softly and remembered his last words when she talked with him last time.

"When the credits finally roll on my existence, I'll be the one who got to pick the soundtrack and design the special effects."

His meaning was simple - He will choose how he wants to die with his own methods.

It is pathetic to kill yourself like this.

At some points; She can understand that he wanted to die knowing some top class people find out everything about him and want to use him.

All their wife's(Who cheated on their soulmates) husbands put bounty on his head.

Many also desire to see him suffer because he thinks highly of himself.

But he could have fought those morons and died like warriors…

"A truly cowardly way to die," Xiaoya Feng's gaze sweeping over the women who pretending grief with crocodile tears streaming down their faces.

Each of them had gathered here not out of loyalty or sorrow but driven by greed — every one of these women had shared intimate relations with her late master and now they are seeking to secure an advantage in claiming his wealth and property.

'This world as corrupted as my master himself.' She thought bitterly as her lips molded into a sneer.

Without wasting another second, She threw ten purple crystals at each woman's feet. "Take it and leave my sight!"

Putting aside all his sins, corruption, and his master title… His soul needs to release as well. She needs to make preparations to bury him. She is doing it as a human being as she knows what is 'humanity'.

"What are you doing?" A soft-featured woman demanded as her voice rising above the commotion.

The other women quickly joined in, their voices overlapping in anger and accusation.

"Do you think my love can be bought with such a paltry sum?" One shouted indignantly.

"Who do you think you are? Have you come to claim your share of his fortune too?" Another one accused as she glared at Xiaoya Feng.

"I'm carrying his child! I deserve far more than this!" and a third woman declared while clutching her stomach for emphasis.

"What?! He swore to me that I was the only one he loved! You're all lying!" A fatty woman screamed, pointing accusingly at the others.

Xiaoya Feng pressed her fingers to her temples as the chaos escalated as their arguments devolving into bitter infighting.

Once again, her master had left behind a mess she now had to clean up.

How was she going to resolve this? Should she simply hand over all the wealth to them?

It wouldn't be wrong to say that her master had amassed much of his fortune through corruption — but they would never believe she was his disciple. As far as she could recall, he had kept their relationship a secret, telling no one of the bond they shared.

'Well… Setting an example isn't bad instead of arguing with this trash!' In the end; She thought about the idea and stood in front of a lady. If they really loved their life they would run away or else…

"I will show you mercy this once." Xiaoya Feng declared as she gestured toward the scattered crystals with a flick of her wrist. "Take what is offered and leave my sight."

Her hand moved to the hilt of her blade, gripping it roughly as her piercing gaze swiming over the women. "Or else..."

"What? This isn't enough!" One of the women protested in trembling voice with indignation but before she could finish, Xiaoya's blade was already in motion.

A spray of crimson mist followed, painting the faces of the onlookers in warm droplets.

The defiant woman's words died mid-sentence as her head toppled from her shoulders, thudding heavily onto the ground.

Her body crumpled moments later, lifeless while the metallic tang of blood hung thick in the air.

"Defiance would not be tolerated." The room fell silent only to save for faint echo of steel returning to its scabbard.

It happened in the blink of an eye.

"WH- BLOOODDDD!"

"DID YOU JUST KILL SOMEONE ELSE?"

"AHHHHHH!"

When the others witnessed the gruesome scene, they scrambled backward in terror, their screams filling the air.

Xiaoya Feng stifled a yawn while releasing a faint trace of her bloodlust, "Enough! Take your share and vanish from my sight before I send you to meet your so-called love in hell!"

As she anticipated, no one dared challenge her further.

Trembling hands hastily collected all the purple crystals: Soon the room emptied.

Xiaoya Feng smirked as she gently patted the woman on the head. "Ah, Giny. You may claim whatever remains here. I'll leave for guild within few hours."

Xiaoya Feng torched her master's body without so much as a muttered blessing.

Sure, people yammered on about how burning the dead was some sacred ritual. Like it came with a VIP pass to heaven or something.

Let's get real here — what deity in their right mind would roll out the red carpet for him?

This was a man who spent his life swindling innocents, seducing married women (and their cousins), and generally being the human equivalent of a used-car salesman with no moral compass.

If there was an afterlife waiting for him, she hoped it involved eternal karaoke nights where he had to sing only the songs he hated.

As for Giny?

Well, surprise, surprise — she'd gone and killed herself too.

Classic Giny move. That woman couldn't even die without turning it into a soap opera.

Xiaoya Feng gave a lazy shrug as she strolled through the forest as she left crunching underfoot like nature's popcorn.

"Meh, her body will decompose eventually. Worms gotta eat too, right? Besides, firewood doesn't grow on trees." She paused mid-step while grinning evilly at her own joke. "Wait, actually… It kinda does. Never mind."

She kicked a stray rock deeper into the woods, imagining it symbolized all the unnecessary drama these two had brought into her life. "Honesty… If I burned every corpse that annoyed me, we'd have global warming sorted by now."

A tiny fairy plopped herself onto Xiaoya Feng's shoulder, crossing her arms like a miniature judge ready to deliver a verdict.

"You're such a heartless creature!" she declared with theatrical flair.

Xiaoya started from corner of her eyes at fairy sideways while feigning cluelessness. "Oh? And you are…?"

The fairy huffedas she was clearly unimpressed by the intentional ignorance. "Zhen! Seriously, how do you not know me already? Also, why I dressed exactly like your mini-twin over here?"

"Hmm." Xiaoya tapped her chin dramatically, pretending to ponder this deep philosophical question. "Maybe because you're trying way too hard to impress me? Or maybe you just got lost in my closet and decided to borrow my clothes without asking."

Zhen spinned her eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn't fall out of her head. "Nope! It's because I like your style, duh! You're my MASTER now!"

She flung her arms around Xiaoya's neck like an overenthusiastic koala on caffeine. "Finally! We're together!"

Xiaoya froze mid-step as her one eyebrow arching high enough to challenge gravity itself. "Master? Since when?"

"Since FOREVER!!" Zhen squealed while clinging tighter than a burr on a dog's fur. "I've been waiting for you foreverrrr!"

Her lips twitched as she muttered. "... Nevermind for an explanation. That old fraud probably knew about you that I'm your master not something the whole time but conveniently 'forgot' to mention it. Bet he also exaggerated your powers while we're at it. Typical of him—always selling snake oil with extra sparkle."

She sighed deeply as she shaked off the mental image of her late master getting roasted alive in whatever fiery pit awaited liars like him.

Karma better be serving up some spicy justice for that guy.

But there were bigger fish to fry or rather, mysteries to unravel.

Who was she, really? Why did her village go up in flames all those years ago by mercenaries? What was her purpose in this chaotic mess of a world?

First things first, though: survival. And surviving meant stacking up power faster than a kid hoarding candy on Halloween.

In a neutral way, She cracked her knuckles and straightened up. "Alright, Zhen. Time to hit new guild. Let's get me signed up before I accidentally trip over another existential crisis."

Zhen's ears perked up instantly, fluttering beside her like an excitable hummingbird on sugar rush. "Ooooh! Does this mean we get cool badges? Or shiny armor? Or—"

"No," Xiaoya cut her off flatly. "It means mountains of paperwork. Buckets of it."

The fairy deflated slightly but rallied quickly. "Still counts as adventure!"

"If filling out forms is your idea of excitement, kid, we've got very different definitions of fun."
