Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 - Reunion

You rise from the bed, the soft light of dawn filtering through the curtains. You feel the coolness of the metal on your skin as you reach for your yellow poncho and wrap it around your shoulders. The knock on the door is firm and insistent, a clear indication that it's time to set aside your personal musings for the greater good of the gang. You open the door to find Shelley, his eyes bloodshot but determined, "It's time," he says gruffly. "Hawk, Rommy, and Marie are ready and waiting outside."

You follow Shelley into the crisp morning air, where the rest of the gang is already gathered. Hawk stands tall, her yellow bandana fluttering in the breeze, while Rommy twirls her axe with an air of nonchalance. Marie, on the other hand, is dressed to kill, her eyes as sharp as the knives she keeps hidden in her boots.

You step outside the Hotel de Tumbleweed, the sun just peeking over the horizon. Lopez is in the middle of the street. Astrona is standing opposite him, her fists clenched and her eyes focused. She's clearly trying to mimic Lopez's movements as he demonstrates a series of quick punches and blocks. The sound of their sparring echoes through the quiet town, a reminder of the seriousness of their situation. Lopez notices you and nods, a slight smile on his face. "Good to see you're up," he says, pausing in his training. "Astrona's got some potential."

Hawk strides over, her boots thumping against the wooden planks of the boardwalk. "Let's get moving," she says, her voice brisk and business-like. She glances at Lopez and Astrona. "We'll leave you two to finish up. We've got a long ride ahead."

Lopez nods, his eyes never leaving Astrona's form. "Be careful," he calls out. "We'll catch up."

With that, Hawk, shelley, Rommy, and Marie lead the way out of town, their horses' hooves clopping rhythmically against the packed earth. You follow, feeling the tension in the air as the group sets off on their quest to meet Juan and Pure. The early morning light casts long shadows across the desert landscape, and you can't help but feel the weight of the impending battle in your stomach.

As the sun climbs higher in the sky, the heat starts to build, and the horses kick up dust that coats everything. The silence is broken only by the occasional shout from one of the riders to keep the pace, or a shared joke to lighten the mood. Despite the seriousness of their mission, the Bandidos maintain a semblance of camaraderie that keeps morale high.

You and your fellow Bandidos ride hard towards Honata's village, the dust from your horses' hooves trailing behind you like a yellow scarf in the wind.

The journey is long and the sun beats down relentlessly. As you approach the outskirts of the village, you see Juan waving frantically from a upon tall tree , her yellow poncho a beacon in the dusty landscape.

Juan gracefully leaps down from the tall tree, the yellow trim of her poncho fluttering as she descends. Just before she hits the ground, she sweeps the Legendary Broom through the air, and a gust of wind cushions her landing. She lands lightly on her feet, a look of excitement on her face as she turns to face you and your companions. "You're here!" she sign, rushing over. She's visibly relieved and happy to see you guys .her earlier fear momentarily forgotten in the excitement of your arrival. Pure is nowhere in sight.

As you and your fellow Bandidos make your way through Honata's village, you spot Juan signing to the villagers with enthusiasm. She signs that Pure and Honata are at the waterfall, which is a short walk from the village. The villagers nod and smile, some pointing in the direction of the waterfall, indicating that they know of their whereabouts. You notice that Juan signs that Pure and Honata are in relationship, which seems to be a significant revelation to her.

You follow the well-trodden path towards the serene sound of rushing water, the shade of the trees providing welcome relief from the relentless sun. The sight of the waterfall in the distance is a stark contrast to the barrenness of the surrounding landscape, a reminder of the beauty that exists amidst the harsh realities of your world. As you approach, you can see Pure standing at the edge of the pool, his eyes closed and his hands outstretched. Honata is nearby, her hands resting gently on his shoulders, speaking softly in his ear.

"Pure," Hawk calls out, her voice carrying over the sound of the water. "We've come for you."

Pure opens his eyes, a look of surprise and relief crossing his face. He stumbles slightly, as if the sudden interruption has disrupted his focus. Honata looks up, her eyes narrowing slightly at the sight of the gang members before her.

As you and your fellow Bandidos start to hug Pure and express your relief that he's okay, you can't help but notice the tension in his body. He seems a bit overwhelmed by the sudden physical contact after his intense training and the emotional weight of his recent experiences with Honata. The villagers watch from a respectful distance, allowing you to have your moment of reunion. Honata steps aside, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions - part proud of Pure's growth, part protective of him, and part wary of the outsiders.

"We gotta go, Pure," Shelley says, his voice gruff but concerned. "We've got a score to settle in Saint Denis."

Pure nods, a hint of sadness in his eyes as he says his goodbye to Honata. She whispers something into his ear, and he nods again before turning to join you. You can't help but feel the palpable connection between them, a bond that transcends the chaos of your lives as outlaws.

Pure breaks away from the group's embrace and walks back to Honata. He wraps his arms around her tightly, his eyes closing for a brief moment. He whispers something into her ear, and she nods solemnly. Then, with a gentle but firm grip, he pulls back and places a tender kiss on her lips. Honata's eyes well up with tears as she returns the affection, whispering something in Pure's ear in return.Pure's promise to come back is clear, not just in his words but in the intensity of his gaze. As he turns back to the group, you see a steely resolve in his eyes. He mounts his horse, and without a backward glance, joins the rest of the Bandidos, ready to face whatever awaits them in Saint Denis.

Raven pats Pure on the back as he prepares to mount his horse, a gesture of camaraderie and support. Shelley does the same, his grip firm but gentle. Rommy and Marie, noticing the intimate moment between Pure and Honata, share knowing smiles and exchange a few words in congratulation, their tones warm despite the tension of the impending mission. They acknowledge the significance of love in their harsh world, offering a moment of genuine happiness amidst the chaos. The group, now complete, rides out of Honata's village, their spirits lifted slightly by the display of affection and unity.

Shelley, noticing the depth of the bond between Pure and Honata, watches them with a proud smile. He nods to Pure, understanding the gravity of the moment and the commitment he's made. "Let's go," he says firmly, turning his horse towards Saint Denis. "We've got a score to settle." The group mounts up, and with a final look at Honata, who stands alone by the water's edge, Pure rides off with the gang. As you all leave the village, the dust kicks up again, swirling around you like a cloud of unspoken words and unresolved feelings.

The journey to Saint Denis is fraught with tension, the air thick with anticipation. Each member of the Bandidos is lost in their own thoughts, preparing mentally for the confrontation ahead. The camaraderie of the group is palpable, yet there's an underlying seriousness that can't be shaken. You glance around, seeing the determination in everyone's eyes, and you feel a surge of pride at being a part of this makeshift family.

As you ride alongside Pure, matching his pace, you ask him about his relationship with Honata. His expression is a mix of joy and concern, his eyes darting between you and the horizon ahead. "Honata..." he starts, his voice trailing off as he considers his words. "She's... she's special. We connected in ways I never thought possible." He pauses, taking a deep breath. "But we can't have this life, not together. Not yet." His eyes are filled with a fierce determination as he speaks of their future and the life he dreams of with her. You nod, understanding the weight of his words, and the two of you continue in silence, the clacking of hooves and the whispers of the wind the only sounds between you.

As you and Pure ride alongside each other, discussing his relationship with Honata, the rest of the gang notices a peculiar sight up ahead. A stranger, dressed in peculiar garb, is passionately embracing and kissing a tree. This unexpected encounter breaks the tension of the mission, causing a few snickers and raised eyebrows among the riders. The stranger seems oblivious to your presence, lost in their peculiar ritual.

"What in tarnation is that?" shelley asks, his voice carrying over the sound of the hooves.

Hawk chuckles, shaking her head. "Looks like we've got ourselves a nature lover," she quips, her ginger hair glinting in the sunlight.

"Maybe we should ask if he need any help," Rommy suggests, a glint of mischief in her eye.

"Or maybe we should just leave lovebirds to their tree," Raven counters with a chuckle

As you and your gang members approach the stranger, they pull away from the tree with a start, looking slightly embarrassed at being caught in such a peculiar embrace. The blonde-haired individual quickly collects themselves and waves at you with a cheery smile, their attire a mismatched collection of garments that suggest they might be a traveler or an eccentric local. "Howdy, folks!" he exclaim, his voice a surprisingly pleasant tenor. "Just communing with nature, don't mind me!" he notice your yellow attire and the weapons at your side, their smile fading slightly as they assess the situation. "You wouldn't happen to be the Bandidos I've heard so much about, would ya?"

"That's us," Hawk replies, her voice steady and unamused. "What's your business here?"

The stranger, now with a look of urgency, introduces themselves as the "Chosen One," insisting he have been sent to warn you of an imminent danger. Before they can elaborate, a distant thunder of hooves grows closer, and a cloud of dust on the horizon indicates a large group of riders approaching rapidly. The stranger's eyes widen, and they look panicked, trying to mount their horse to escape. "they're after me!" they shout. "But they're not your concern. Trust me, you've got bigger fish to fry" With that, they spur their horse and take off in a different direction, leaving the Bandidos to face the oncoming riders.

As the riders draw near, they appear to be a band of locals, their faces etched with frustration and their clothes dusty from the chase. The leader, a burly man with a scruffy beard, calls out to you, "You seen that blonde fool? he's been tearing up the countryside, putting holes in our trees!" The riders slow their horses to a trot, their eyes scanning the area for any sign of the stranger.

Hawk, ever the strategic thinker, raises a hand to stop the group's pursuit. "Hold up, folks," she says calmly. "We ain't seen no one but ourselves on the road." The locals exchange suspicious glances, but the urgency of their situation seems to overshadow their doubt. The leader sighs heavily. "Look, we ain't got time for games. he is dangerous. If you come across them, do us a favor and send 'em packing. he is bad news for all of us." With that, the locals ride off, leaving the Bandidos to ponder the stranger's identity and their cryptic warning.

Rommy, still smirking from the previous encounter, calls back, "Yeah, we saw 'em. he was headed that way!" She points in the opposite direction of where the "Chosen One" actually went. The locals curse under their breaths but follow the false lead, their urgency overriding any suspicion of your honesty.

As the dust settles, the gang shares a collective sigh of relief. "What was that about?" Shelley asks, scratching his head.
