After their quiet evening together, Jihoon accompanied the towering man to the door, the last traces of their conversation still hanging in the air between them.
As his fingers curled around the handle, Jihoon cast a sidelong glance at the older man.
"It's good that you're well rested today," he remarked lightly. "I don't see any more eyebags or that dark circles you were carrying around."
Ryul looked over at him with a thoughtful note, his eyes narrowing just slightly in intrigue.
"I guess I was really tired yesterday," he admitted. "I hadn't slept for two days at that point."
Caught in the act of opening the door, Jihoon halted, gaze snapping to Ryul.
"Huh? Why weren't you sleeping for two days?"
Ryul offered a casual grin as if trying to wave it off. "Inspiration hit hard. I was writing nonstop," he said with a shrug, but then quickly corrected himself, clearing his throat. "I mean... work. There was a lot of work to catch up on."
