Caliste was too stunned to speak. He had no choice but to take a few seconds to calm himself down, as he had just heard confirmation of his theory.
'She knew… she knew that I would return. But how? How did she know…'
Caliste looked down with his two hands pressed against the wooden table as dozens of thoughts flooded his mind. He tried to make sense of this fact. He was trying to understand how she could have anticipated such a thing, but he had no idea.
Liana was the best mage in the entire world. She was the one who knew magic better than anyone else.
'Did she manage to see into the future?'
That was the only possible option by now.
The rest didn't make sense. That was the only option remaining.
"Caliste?" The child-like Liana flew in front of Caliste's face, waving her hand in front of his eyes, trying to bring him back to the current situation, as she wasn't too sure what was currently going through his mind. "Are you okay?"
He shook his head.
