Chapter 27 - Error Detected — Warning ⚠️

On their way back to the village, Dimm was rather met with strange system's notification. Before him, in his front, three translucent screens appeared at once, and he began to go through them one after the other, starting with the one that showed his stats to the one reporting about his mission hunt.

«Name: Dimm»

«Title: Chosen»

«Physical Stats | 10x privileged.»

«STR: 2050 [+50]»

«DEX: 9100 [+100]»

«CON: 6100 [+100]»

«INT: 80%»

«CHA: 510 [+10]»

It was this moment that Dimm decides to reflect on his stats, ignoring the call from Minxx who followed by his left side. Minxx, however, understood him and decided to let him be as they travelled in silence.

'Now that I think about it, I hadn't really taken any of these stats for granted. Hmm, and they are sure an assistance offered to me, I guess.'

He noticed that all his stats had reduced, except that of his Intelligence and Charisma. But he also guessed that they increased, or know he didn't guess, he saw their increment points beside them.

Even though he had only taken note of his Constitution stat during his combat against Squiggon, he guessed that other reduction also came as a result, cause, he knew he hadn't faced any difficulty engaging other creatures and opponents.

But to think that the increment will be as small as it is. Yes, if not for the 10x privilege the system granted him, his stat increment was seemingly negligible, even after all the attacks he had engaged in before now.

He wanted to keep asking unanswered questions but decided against it as he moved his focus to the second screen, which carried his mission infos.

«Mission 1.1: Subdue the Ogres»

«Objective Reached: Do not kill! | Win their trust and unite with them»

Dimm hummed, attracting the attention of his companions, who thought it better to ignore him still.

To think that the system will mark his objective reached, even without completing the second instruction. Well, he just moved his gaze to the second set of information that had appeared on the same screen after the first disappeared.

«Trust SP for the Ogres: 42%»

"Huh."

At this rate, he knew there was still more work to be done.

«New Feature Unlocked | Unity»

«Desc: Your Unity SP will be recorded according to your ability to make use of your Charisma to get in touch with characters to follow you. Note that your Unity only started counting once your mission was activated.»

«Unity: 0»

Dimm glared at the system for a longer time, to understand what it meant. Of course, he thought, his Unity shouldn't be zero since he was able to interact well with the elves. Plus, the fact that his Trust for the Elves was quite a feat.

Note that your Unity only started counting once your mission was activated. He read the last sentence again, and muttered. "If that's the case."

But the doubt of a miscount still tripped in. At least, he should have gotten a point for being able to win a fraction of the Ogre's trust.

As if hearing his thoughts, another information displayed on the same screen before him.

«Your Unity points will also, only be recorded if you're able to amass 50 trust points with a particular character or a group of characters.»

Without wasting more time after he understands how this Unity works, he moved over to the third screen, allowing the other two to vanish from his sight.

«Major Title Unlocked | A Chosen»

«Minor Title Space Activated»

«1.0 — A Leader»

Dimm decided to ignore the explanations rendered by the system concerning these new infos. He knew that, likely to his mission, the Minor titles will be what should consider his major title. So, ignoring the descriptions weren't going to be to his disadvantage.

But he wasn't able to avert his gaze from the screen as another information appeared.

«Skills Recorded | You can dodge, Wins their trust.»

Dimm's chin widened into a grin. He was not privileged to gain points for his Unity, but now, he has gotten a skill that will help him do so.

Of course, if this system works in accordance with some fantasy stories he've read on billboards while he begged on the road, then activating the skill will make a hard character to easily succumb to his demands.

He wasn't able to read through other informations the screen carried as he staggered as a result of the pull from Khobba.

"Look," Khobba said, pointing to the sky.

Right in the god's chamber, they have been quiet all the while observing what was going on in the game.

They saw as players struggled to complete missions set before them, but two particular players were effortless, and worst still, felt comfortable.

This two players according to their system, was [400] and [160].

The gods only thought this way because even though they watched the two players from their chamber, they weren't able to see their activities. The only activities they could see was that naturally meant for the game.

Since Dimm inherited some loopholes, they protected his other activities from the gods, hence, made them private. Making it seem to the gods that he, with his pair was effortless.

On a second note, the gods had decided and reached a conclusion that they weren't going to act accordingly and with immediate effect since they were going to be on a losing end if they ended the life of [400].

Due to this, and the fact that their beloved candidate was paired with [160], who according to them began as a stubborn candidate from the start, they decided to display a warning for them to see.

In the chamber, however, this agreement was only reached after an argument ensued between the gods, followed by pleas.

Ithrial, the Collector, was the mastermind of the plea. Nyxara, had wanted to end the lives of these players at once, but Ithrial, disapproved of it. This disagreement between the two was what caused the argument.

However, the other gods, seeing that the argument won't take them anywhere. And understanding the reason Ithrial had to recruit [400] stood beside and with him, and instead, pleaded with Ithrial to spare their lives with reasons.

One thing they were ignorant of is the fact that as far as Dimm [160] was involved, nothing can be done even to Khobba [400]. But that was not ignorance consequent to their fault.

Other players at other places where they struggled for their survival also saw the bright announcement which appeared in the sky.

[Error Detected—Warning!]

{Effortless Approach to the missions assigned by the rules and participation in Ellipse is termed disobedience | Reward for Disobedience is Death!}

{[160] and [400] are defaulters in this course. Be warned!}

"I knew it. [400] was only able to perform specially because of cheats. It's possible some candidates use cheats, you know."

"Does cheats really exist?"

"[160] again? Nothing good has ever been announced about that candidate."

"I don't understand why the gods are suddenly giving out warnings instead of immediate action."

"You know, I read in one of the books of Ellipse that the gods are merciless once you disobey their rule. But to think they are only warning these candidates, something is off."

"[400] must have taken advantage as the only candidate that has been pre-recruited, and gone to rest. Whomever it is, the thought might be that an 'Exemption' tag has been placed. Hahahaha."

Different players and their pairs, continued conversing after seeing the notification that appeared in the sky. A few mocking the duo that were warned, most others complaining. While there were the handful who wished they were also warned like the duo.

"For them to be warned, instead of immediate action being carried out, it means they must be special."

So, this particular group of people also wanted this specialty.

"Right? If I'm an exception, then all those with me are exceptions," Dimm said with a smirk, at the same time, looking foolish to especially Khobba.

"What are you saying? Our lives are already in danger," Khobba complained. "Now that I think of it, how sure are you this elf is not misleading us?"

Minxx wanted to react but Dimm held her back. "Please, do understand her plight this instant," he pleaded with Khobba.

"It's time," Dimm said. "I will excuse myself from this land for a while."

He turned to Khobba and continued. "To you or them, this might be a warning. But it is not necessarily a warning.

It is only a message to set things immediately in motion. And this is what I shall do."

As Minxx smiled at who Dimm has become, Khobba was left in confusion.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"Let's head back to the village for now, and announce our excuse for a while," Dimm ignored her question, and instructed.
