Melissa wanted to rush upstairs to check on her son several times, but she had already called her husband, who was far away in Kunlun, to inform him of the situation.
Meanwhile, Lin Mei, with his eyes closed, unknowingly activated his mutant ability, causing his body to vanish into a dimensional rift.
"Lin Mei!"
Melissa watched in horror as her son disappeared. Overwhelmed by the shock, she fainted. Little Chili quickly caught her, her face filled with worry and sadness.
Just then, brilliant fireworks illuminated the road.
Colson, sensing danger, raised his pistol and aimed at the slowly opening dimensional portal.
"Oh no, it seems I'm late!"
Three figures emerged from the glowing gateway.
A young man in a white training suit strode forward, his gaze locking onto Melissa. He turned to Little Chili and spoke with a calm yet firm tone. "Excuse me, miss, the woman in your arms is my wife. May I take her?"
Little Chili blinked in surprise. She had seen photos of this man before—Melissa's husband from the Long Kingdom. Without hesitation, she gently handed Melissa over to him.
Standing beside him was a bald, yellow-robed sorcerer—the Ancient One. Observing the space where Lin Mei had vanished, she mused, "I didn't realize that little one was your son. If I had known earlier, I would have taken him under my wing and trained him myself. That child has the potential to become the next Supreme Sorcerer."
A man standing beside the Ancient One scoffed. "Really, now? That boy is also the son of Kunlun's Iron Fist. Isn't openly snatching him a bit much?" His keen eyes remained fixed on the spot where Lin Mei had disappeared.
Had Nick Fury been present, he would have immediately recognized the man as none other than the 'Sun Wukong' who had recently visited S.H.I.E.L.D.
"Hmph!" Sun Wukong folded his arms. "Lin Mei is from Kunlun by blood. If you take him away, it would be quite the offense."
The Ancient One glanced at the man holding Melissa and smirked. "What a pity. He was at a crucial moment in his trial. If not for this unexpected event, the incomplete power of the Iron Fist wouldn't have been absorbed by an outsider."
"Now, two Iron Fists exist in this world. What do you propose we do?" The Ancient One's voice carried an air of amusement.
Sun Wukong rolled his eyes. "How should I know?"
One Iron Fist was the weakest in history—and a foreigner at that.
The other was nearing perfection, yet still incomplete.
If Lin Tian's son could fully inherit the Iron Fist's power, Kunlun would have little reason to concern itself with Danny Rand, the other wielder.
Lin Tian, Melissa's husband, turned to the Ancient One, his voice filled with urgency. "Master Gu Yi, what happened to my son?"
The Ancient One offered a reassuring smile. "Do not worry. He has merely ventured into another dimension. He will be fine."
Before arriving, she had already glimpsed Lin Mei's fate through the Time Stone. However, revealing too much could lead to unintended consequences.
Hearing her words, Lin Tian sighed in relief.
Nearby, Colson was struggling to process the influx of information. He wanted to say something, but the conversation was moving too fast for him to interject.
Meanwhile, Sun Wukong suddenly looked skyward, his golden eyes detecting an invisible spacecraft rapidly approaching.
"More guests are arriving," he muttered. Then, turning to the Ancient One, he grinned. "Gu Yi, open another portal. Let's head to Kamar-Taj for a drink."
The Ancient One chuckled. "If the Great Sage insists, who am I to refuse?"
With a wave of her hand, another shimmering portal opened, revealing a courtyard where black-robed sorcerers were training. She stepped through first, followed closely by Sun Wukong.
Before the portal closed, Sun Wukong's voice echoed back. "Boy Lin, I'll give you a few days. Don't forget to return to Kunlun!"
Lin Tian smirked. "Understood, Great Sage!" Yet, deep down, he had no desire to return.
As the portal sealed shut, a cloaked aircraft descended from the sky.
A striking woman with red hair emerged, pushing a bald man in a wheelchair. They weren't alone—Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, and others followed closely behind.
Lin Tian immediately recognized the man in the wheelchair. His expression darkened.
"You again."
Professor Charles Xavier gave him a polite nod. "Mr. Lin, it's been some time. I see your temperament remains unchanged."
Lin Tian crossed his arms. "Didn't expect Lin Mei's little stunt to get your attention too."
Charles's expression turned serious. "Mr. Lin, I need to understand what happened to your son."
He hesitated before continuing. "It's clear that Lin Mei has just awakened his mutant ability. Are you not concerned for his safety?"
Lin Tian shook his head and said confidently, "Don't worry. A respected elder has assured me that my son is safe. However, I understand that Professor Charles might still be concerned."
Charles was momentarily taken aback. Lin Tian's certainty suggested that he knew more than he was letting on. However, since Lin Tian seemed so sure, Charles chose not to press further. Instead, he simply nodded in acknowledgment.
"Since Mr. Lin is so confident, I'll take your word for it. However, if Lin Mei ever needs assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to me," Charles said sincerely.
"Of course, Professor Charles," Lin Tian replied with a reassuring smile.
At that moment, Little Chili approached Lin Tian, her face filled with concern. "Mr. Lin, are you sure Lin Mei will really be alright?"
Lin Tian turned to her with a warm smile. "Don't worry, Little Chili. Lin Mei has his own strength. He'll be just fine."
Hearing his words, Little Chili felt somewhat reassured. She nodded silently, choosing to trust his confidence.
Just then, Melissa stirred, slowly regaining consciousness. The moment her eyes opened, she sat up anxiously. "Husband! Where is Lin Mei? Is he safe?"
Lin Tian quickly supported her, his voice calm and soothing. "Melissa, don't worry. He's safe. Someone has confirmed it. Before long, our son will be back."
Melissa exhaled a shaky breath, her worry easing slightly. She grasped Lin Tian's hand tightly, seeking comfort in his presence.
Lin Tian gently patted the back of her hand, offering her a reassuring smile.
At that moment, Colson approached, looking slightly awkward. He scratched his head before speaking. "Uh, Mr. Lin, Mrs. Melissa, everyone... I think I need an explanation. What exactly is going on?"
"Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Lin Tian muttered as he glanced at Colson. Without further ado, he simply turned away and left with Melissa, completely ignoring him.
Colson stood frozen in place, his embarrassment palpable.
Boom!
A sudden explosion erupted from the Stark Energy Facility, sending shockwaves through the area.
"Oh my God!" Little Chili gasped in horror, her thoughts immediately racing to Tony Stark's safety.
