Chapter 14 - Confession (2).

Victoria's POV.

As Madeline left, Evan and I awkwardly stared at each other from the corners of our eyes.

Things weren't awkward between us before, no that is wrong.

We were never awkward with each other.

I sighed as the memories of the nights before came rushing in.

*Flashback*

I had no idea why I was here.

The glaring lights, the unfamiliar music, and all the influential people getting high in here only added to my annoyance.

I was at Alexandra's party, she had successfully made her debut so she was throwing a party.

I wasn't close to her at all nor did we ever hold a conversation together so I wondered why she invited me or why my manager sent me here.

None of it made sense.

But since I was already here, I might as well get some free drinks.

So I drank a glass, then another and then another.

Until I was swaying and I felt as if the world was spinning.

Suddenly I felt a strong pair of arms holding me.

The scent of the person holding me seemed familiar but still, I pushed the person away with shove.

''Hey, hey relax''

I blinked trying to fix my focus on the person who was speaking, ''Evan!?''

I could hear him chuckle and say something but before I could comprehend what was being said my vision went blank.

My head throbbed as the sharp rays of the morning sun hit my eyes, I rubbed my eyes trying to bring myself back to reality.

'Where was I?'

My heart sped up as panic took over me, I frantically checked my body and clothes only to find it fine and intact.

I sighed in relief as I eyed the room.

It was a simple room with white walls and curtains, a neatly arranged desk with psychology-related books stacked upon one another.

As the memories of the previous night came over a knock interrupted me.

I froze.

A familiar face stepped in, it was Evan.

''You're awake.'' he simply said as he brought me a glass of water and a tablet for my headache.

I bit my lip suddenly awkward about what happened.

Carefully I asked, ''What happened?''

He headed me over the glass of water and tablet before glaring at me, ''What happened? Good question.''

''You got super drunk yesterday, imagine if something had happened, the place was not safe at all!''

His sudden rise in voice scared me but he sighed softening his tone, ''Victoria what were you thinking? Just be careful next time or at least have your manager with you.''

There was this unfamiliar warmth in his tone that set the butterflies in my stomach on fire.

Or maybe it was how he looked right now his wavy messy black hair carelessly falling on his forehead, a white tee enhancing his muscles that I never noticed before.

I stared down at the glass suddenly aware that I was staring at him for too long.

''I didn't drink much, I know my tolerance, I guess something was mixed.''

Evans's gaze narrowed as he eyed the glass of water saying, ''Drink.''

I don't know what came over me but I leaned in placing a peck on his lips.

My ears felt hot as I drew back watching the stunned expression on his face.

My heart and brain went crazy realizing what I had just done now.

I kissed my best friendand this was going to change everything between us.

''What was that?''

Evan asked his expression darkening.

I closed my eyes tugging at my lips, ''I don't know, I just felt like doing it.''

Suddenly his arms encircled my waist pulling me in until my body hit his muscular chest.

I could feel his breath on my ears as he leaned in further, ''Victoria, Do you know what you are doing?''

The way he called my name, his hot breath, and the usual playfulness from his tone vanishing sent my toes curling.

'Was he always this hot?'

But I wasn't the type to back down.

I also leaned in to whisper into his ears, purposefully letting my lips graze over his ears ''No, I don't, so tell me what I'm doing''

I let out an involuntary gasp as he shoved me into the bed his arms trapping me from both sides.

I swallowed a lump just realizing that I was playing with fire, Evan who was my friend and Evan right now were two different people.

''Don't play with me Victoria, You know I don't date, so what are you doing?''

I looked straight into his eyes, ''Who said anything about dating?''

He groaned, leaning in closer, again reaching for my ears but this time he bit it causing me to gasp, ''I don't do Vanilla, Vicky, are you sure?''

My heart sped up hearing that, ''Is it like extreme?''

He chuckled shaking his head, ''No, Bondage and a bit of pain, can you handle it?''

I have been curious about this growing up and somewhere down the lane I even wanted to try it but I had been too afraid to express it to my partners.

Seeing me hesitate he spoke again, ''The choice is completely yours, I am not Christian Grey or anything, the moment you say red, we stop.''

Gathering up my courage I nodded my head, suddenly he grabbed my chin.

''Words, Darling, words. Do you want it?''

Taking in a deep breath, I said, ''Yes''

He smiled fixing a strand of my hair, ''Good, What's your safe word?''

''Red.''

And from there things changed drastically for us.
