Chapter 10 - Artificial Item

Do-Yun found the first building, a smaller guild that prioritized production classes such as chefs, blacksmiths, alchemists, and more, each separated into four sections.

"High-Noon Productions..." Do-Yun looked at the name of the building and walked in. Many people were in this guild, each with their own designated part of the building, it felt like a giant mall more than anything else. Do-Yun walked around until he felt an ominous aura, an aura that didn't match the aura of this place of production. He turned to the store and walked in. The lights were dim, there were no products on display, and two people, a large, muscular adult, and a smaller, yet equally muscular adult. Do-Yun went pale just feeling their intense yet dark aura.

During this time of comedic fear, Do-Yun's color drained, even from his clothes as he has a "wth moment". He finally decides to speak.

"U-Uhhh... Hello...Sirs..." Do-Yun gulped as his throat felt dry under the gaze of two men who ran the shop.

"I...I'd like to request an item be artificially made..." Do-Yun found the strength to make his request.

"Eh? Who the hell do you think you are?" The smaller male said, crossing his arms.

Do-Yun smiled, under pressure, he realized this was his best chance to possibly even the odds.

"The name's Do-Yun, An anomalous class holder"

The larger man's eyebrow raised. "An anomalous class holder?"

"Yeah," Do-Yun said, finally feeling the intensity of their gazes slowly melt away.

"Alright kid, we'll bite. what do you want to request?" The larger and more burly man asked, finally letting up.

Do-Yun takes off his shoes and holds them up.

"I want shoes like these, but the wheels can be changed. That is my first request."

"Mhm..." The older man said, still listening.

"The second request..." Do-Yun made slime gel appear in his hand. "is to make wheels out of slime gel that could be used and swapped out."

The smaller man looked at the shoes. "Hey, these are those roller-shoes. The ones with deployable wheels work like sneakers when the wheels aren't deployed. The design isn't bad."

"Can you make it?" Do-Yun asked.

"I mean...we could..."

"Can't kid. At least not using the same design."

"Then what can you do?" Do-Yun asked, mildly irritated.

"We can feed your shoes to our forge and create something new entirely. Are you ready for that?"

Do-Yun clicked his tongue, now having to make a difficult choice.

"I don't think I'll use those skates as a base yet. Is there a different option?" Do-Yun exhaled, not able to part with them yet.

"How much of those Slime Gels do you have?" The larger man said, grabbing a paper and pen.

"A lot. More than I care to admit." Do-Yun sighed.

"There's a company I have ties to that uses Slime Gel to make plastic and rubber, effectively making an alternative to resin and tree sap.

The older man gave Do-Yun a card. Call in a party favor, as an anomalous class holder. I think they should be able to help you. But be warned, I'd call in a lawyer if I were you. Contracts with them get a bit dicey if you don't read 'em, kid. Good luck.

Do-Yun leaves with the card in hand "Burnout Co...?" he leaves the crafter's guild as it has gotten late and he needs to get home before it is too late.

"They led me through a wild goose chase...They're still leading me." Do-Yun made it home and closed the door, grabbed the box his roller shoes came from, and searched it.

"Same Company." Do-Yun grits his teeth, remembering the stall that gave him the roller shoes. He took out his laptop and started researching what happened to the company.

"Getting rid of Stoc.k" The words echoed in his head as he remembered how he first acquired the roller shoe. Furiously typing on his computer, he asked what happened to the company until he found his answer: The company was absorbed under a different brand—Blaze Oddessy In, a far larger company in the industry of fashion using otherworldly items.

Do-Yun picked up the card the older man had given him and looked at the back of the card. It was a Line contact, two of them.

"I'll call tomorrow...It's late right now..." Do-Yun placed the card.

In the morning, Do-Yun makes a mental note of the time he has left before his two-week vacation is up, getting up and taking a shower, thinking about how to get to Blaze Oddessy, seeing as one of his skills was inaccessible to him. The window showed up in front of his face.

"Phantom Ride" Do-Yun mumbled, remembering he needed special parts to even activate the skill. What better way to gain these special parts than to make them? The answer: An Artificial Item. An Item made from materials from the gates that didn't follow the crafting menu of the system. Do-Yun was trying to ask for two low-tier versions of these items, and in the future, would be asking for more.

He got out of the shower, got dressed, put on roller shoes, ate breakfast, and then began walking toward the closest branch of Blaze Oddessy Ind.

"It's an arrogant name if you think about it...To be the last surviving fashion industry using dungeon items..." Do-Yun exhaled, took out his phone, and followed the map. He walked, the sound of footsteps followed in his wake, the voices of passing people, like it was a regular day, he waited at a bus stop and got on the bus that would lead him to the next part of his wild goose chase. He has to find Blaze Oddessy's branch and get a special part.

Do-Yun makes a stop when his marker gets to a certain point and gets off the bus to walk the rest of the way, now looking at a skate shop. Stopping in front of the skate shop, the boy looks forward at the door, opens it and walks in.
