Once Cheasle, Luffy, Nami, and Sanji entered the building, Cheasle led the others through a secret passage in the lower levels. Cobwebs covered the corners, and rats scurried across the floor as if trying to escape from something or someone. The lights in the lower levels were very dim, and in some places, not at all. Not many people went down here.
Chealse looked at the others. "Just keep your wits about you. Not many people know about this passage."
Nami looked at her. "What do you mean?"
Chealse didn't answer her until they left the dimly lit corridor. "Simply put, it's full of hidden traps. Only the most skilled assassins can come out the other side alive."
Nami nodded. "I get it. Yet, the four of us made it out alive?"
"That's true, but if it weren't for me, you, Luffy, and Sanji would have died. Outsiders aren't allowed in this building. So, just the fact that the three of you are here goes against everything the Creed stands for."
Luffy stood up and stretched since they had been crawling through a dark hallway. "So what now?"
Chealse looked at him. "Gather as much information as we can about what's going on. We need to know how far the Order has fallen and who is in charge now."
Luffy nodded. "How do we go about that? Nami, Sanji, and I don't know anything about that?"
Chealse smirked. "First rule about being an assassin. Think like your enemy. Gather intel and don't get caught."
A smile came over Luffy's face. "I understand now. I have to get into the head of who we are talking to."
Chealse nodded. "Exactly."
Meanwhile, just outside the building, Zoro, Chopper, and Usopp were with Henry and me. Zoro had his hands near his swords just in case something should go wrong. He didn't want to take a risk of leaving to then coming to see Henry and me seriously hurt.
I fed Henry because he was getting hungry. "There you go, buddy. Don't worry. Daddy's gonna do everything he can to keep us safe."
Usopp turned his head but got smacked by Zoro for looking. "What was that for?"
Zoro looked at him. "Stop looking at Pretty Kitty. Henry's hungry, get over it." He winked at him before regaining himself.
I couldn't help but giggle. "Why so serious, Daddy?"
There was a rustle from behind us, making everyone tense. A fox jumped from behind the bush. Its nose twitched back and forth. Its tail twitched before running past us and disappearing into the woods.
Chopper watched as the fox scapered into the woods. Something in his gut told him that something was wrong. Chopper knew that whatever made the fox scared was evil. He came back over to the rest of the group. "Guys, something is very wrong."
Zoro looked at him. "I've been getting that feeling as well, Chopper."
I looked up at him. "What's going on?" I held Henry close to me.
Usopp stopped what he was doing. "We haven't heard from the rest of the group. You don't think something's happened to them, do you?"
I shook my head. "No. Chealse would have sent Elizabeth with a letter if something did."
Back in Headquarters, Luffy and the others found themselves surrounded back a group of loyal bodyguards to the new leader of the Order. News had spread that someone had entered the building. People who are not assassins. Luffy could see in their eyes that they were scared of what they were about to do. They're just children.
A cold voice broke the eerie silence. "Chealse, I was not expecting you to come home so soon. You brought some friends along with you. Tell me what I should do about the others outside?"
Nami looked at this man. "Who are you?"
The man laughed. "You don't need to know who I am."
