Aria's pov
Night came soon enough and by the time it reached us, we were ready for it.
The moon hung heavy in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the palace grounds. The night air was cool and crisp, carrying the faint scent of blooming jasmine.
I could feel the anticipation buzzing around me as I stood among the seven Moon Maidens, each of us adorned in our ceremonial robes. The fabric, woven with threads of moonlight, shimmered ethereally. It was beautiful.
We were gathered in the palace private courtyard, an expansive area paved with smooth marble that reflected the moonlight like a vast, otherworldly mirror.
Torches flickered gently in the breeze, their flames dancing in harmony with the shadows. At the center of the courtyard, a raised dais awaited us, its steps lined with luminescent flowers that seemed to glow from within.
