She sat cross-legged on her bed, her back pressed against the headboard, her fingers nervously twisting the edge of her blanket. Her mind was racing, her heart pounding, her chest tight. I need answers... I need to know... before this gets any more complicated.
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, her shoulders relaxing as she reached inward, searching for the presence she'd come to know... the presence she'd grown to trust. Lumina... are you there?
The air around her seemed to grow warmer, a familiar warmth blooming in her chest, spreading through her limbs, soothing and steadying her. A soft voice echoed in her mind, playful and gentle. Where else would I be?
Opal's lips twitched, her heart easing. I... need to talk to you.
