Chapter 3 - Childhood Crush

Aman opened the door to find the postman standing there, holding out a card. Aman took the card and shut the door, then walked back to the room where the girls were waiting.

He asked them their names, and Harleen, Safina, and Sofia introduced themselves. Raj spoke up, "Now what do we do with them?" Aman's eyes landed on a bracelet on Harleen's wrist, and he was taken aback.

It was the same bracelet he had given to his childhood crush, a girl he had met in school. Aman was stunned. "You can stay here," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ravi and Raj exchanged shocked glances. Harleen smiled, "Thanks, we won't forget your kindness." Aman turned and left the room, followed by Ravi and Raj.

As they walked away, Ravi asked Aman, "Why did you let them stay? How can we trust them?" Aman replied, "I told you about a girl I had a crush on in school, the one I gave my bracelet to. That's Harleen. The bracelet is on her wrist."

Raj raised an eyebrow, "But how can we be sure they're not part of some plan?"

Aman said, "I've installed cameras in the room where they're staying. We can listen to their conversations and figure out the truth." Ravi opened the camera feed, showing Harleen, Safina, and Sofia talking among themselves.

Safina asked, "What was that hole and door?" Sofia replied, "I don't understand how we got here." Harleen said, "I don't trust these people. We need to get back to Pakistan. India and Pakistan are enemies, and we don't know what they might do to us."

Sofia countered, "But they don't seem bad." Harleen insisted, "We don't know how we got here or how to leave. We can't even go to the police because we don't have any records of entering India, and we don't know how we got here. If we tell the police, they won't believe us."

Safina agreed, "You're right. We can't stay here either." Harleen resigned, "Now, whatever is meant to happen will happen."

Sofia said, "Harleen, you mentioned a childhood friend who lives in India." Harleen replied, "I don't have his number, and I don't know where he lives. I don't even remember his name." Safina pointed out, "We don't even have clothes. How are we supposed to stay here?" Sofia agreed, "We don't have anything." Harleen said, "I don't know what to do."

Suddenly, Harleen collapsed to the floor. Sofia and Safina rushed to her side, concerned. "Harleen, are you okay? What happened?" Harleen whispered, her voice weak, "My head hurts so much..." and fainted.

Aman, Raj, and Ravi witnessed the scene and rushed into the room. Aman gently lifted Harleen into his arms and laid her on the bed. As he held her close, he felt a strange sense of protectiveness towards her.

He checked her temperature and found that she had a high fever. Aman gave Harleen medicine and applied cold compresses to her forehead. As he cared for her, their eyes met, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.

Sofia and Safina exchanged knowing glances, sensing the spark between Aman and Harleen. As the night fell, everyone retired to their rooms and sleep
