Tim's hands instinctively wrapped around her waist as she landed on his chest. Their faces were just inches apart.
Aurora's breath hitched as her eyes met his.
For a moment, everything around them faded.
The sound of cheering parents. The running kids. The world itself faded.

The man who still had the power to make her heart race like this. Race the way they did right now.
Tim's eyes darkened as they flickered to her lips.
Aurora's heart pounded against her ribcage as her body unconsciously leaned closer.
"What the hell am I doing?" She wondered.
Her lips were barely an inch away from his when they got interrupted.
"Mommy! Daddy! Someone's about to take our first position!"
Seraphina's loud scream snapped them back to reality.
