"Where's Edward?" Tim asked after a while. He brought his daughter here after a school day event to be happier, not to meet some devil.
"He's asleep upstairs." Seraphina replied thoughtfully. "We played for some hours but then he got weak, and needed rest."
Tim's eyes glanced upstairs. He dismissed the thought of going to see Edward the moment it came.
Tim's jaw clenched subtly as he forced himself to maintain a calm expression.
"And... your mom?" he asked, his voice low and restrained.
Seraphina tilted her head, her small fingers playing with Tim's sharp jawline. "She stepped out earlier with someone" she sounded eager to report.
"With who?"
Seraphina blinked innocently. "Uncle Liam."
Tim's grip on his her tightened, but his expression remained cold and unreadable. Only his eyes darkened.
