Chapter 18 - While the Elders Fought… the Wolf Entered Without Permission

The third elder continued walking toward the first, his gaze terrifying. This lethal move of the third was extraordinarily powerful, especially since it was created by his father in collaboration with an immortal to develop this technique.

Since the third was still young and in his prime, this move affected his consciousness, rendering him unconscious.

In the end, his consciousness would return only after his body completely collapsed, and the move could not be used again until he fully recovered.

The Heavenly Severing Melody move had steps that needed to be followed.

"Melody of Silence."

Before executing the strike, the first elder released his inner sharpness as energy that silenced all sounds in the arena, suppressing the dark thunder vortexes, causing the third to lose his sense of balance.

Farkan thought internally, "Why can't I hear anything?"

"Harmonious Slash."

He raised his sword with perfect fluidity, delivering a single invisible strike that severed the energy frequencies in the air, causing the black vortexes to disintegrate.

After a few seconds, expressions of shock and admiration appeared, even the king was astonished by this move.

"All the vortexes in his surroundings shattered—astounding," Yan Yue said, standing in awe before everyone.

"Heavenly Severing Melody."

The first elder's aura turned completely red. He gradually raised his head, inhaling and exhaling…

The first elder assumed a rare stance mastered only by those who were perfectly in tune with their sword. His body leaned forward steadily, as if about to launch like a meteor, his sword drawn back at a precise angle that accounted for airflow.

His front foot was planted confidently in the ground, while the other slid back like a tiger's tail ready to pounce. His right shoulder moved fluidly with the sword's direction, while his muscles swayed calmly with each breath he took.

"In this stance, I don't attack… I declare the end."

After the strike, the third heard the melody's echo belatedly, forced to endure the damage of temporal delay. At that moment, the move's full impact hit him—a spiritual and physical strike simultaneously, splitting his chest.

After seconds, the third didn't fall, but his lethal move ended due to the collapse it caused him.

The third turned his head toward the first and ran at him with speed, his right hand carrying all the power of the Dark Thunder move.

"I thought it was over, so why are you still resisting? You're terrifying."

The first assumed the same stance as before and charged as well. It was an epic scene representing the strength and determination emanating from both.

Only centimeters remained, but the third couldn't endure and fell directly to the ground.

The first was shocked by the sight before him and sheathed his sword.

Silence fell over the arena, and after seconds, words and sounds erupted.

"Amazing!"

"Incredible!!!"

"Thank goodness I attended this fight!"

"Both of them are terrifying!"

The referee stepped to the center of the arena, grabbed the first's hand, and raised it.

"The winner of this match is the first elder!!!"

All the spectators, headquarters leaders, and elders applauded.

The first knelt, checked the third's pulse at his neck, and his expression worsened.

"Please take the third to the royal treatment headquarters!"

Farkan analyzed the fight in his mind, "Indeed, they need to take him before it's too late. I saw a glimpse of the stab to his heart."

The medical team carried him and used a movement ability to transfer to the royal treatment headquarters.

Two Days Ago

Yi Mushen summoned one of his deputies to his lavishly decorated massive room.

"You have a short trip, Wan Shu."

"My lord, how may I serve you?" He knelt on one knee.

"To the Northern Continent, that kingdom—what's its name? Remind me."

"Dragonis Kingdom, my lord."

"Well done. Go there, greet the king, and kill one of their elders, hahaha."

Yi Mushen grabbed the meat beside him and began eating the first bite. This meat was the hand of a fairy from the righteous path in the Central Continent.

Yi Mushen had told her to join him and become his servant, but she refused, saying she'd rather die than live under his command.

So he killed her, dismembered her body, and sold most of her internal organs in the Torn Shadows Market.

"By the way, tell me what that white-haired elder does. I'm eager to tear him apart with my own hands."

He shouted and began devouring the meat voraciously, "You may go."

Among the cheering and shouting spectators celebrating the first's victory over the third, there was one person.

"Hey, don't you see where you're going?"

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?"

This person moved through without care until he reached the barrier protecting the spectators, the king, and others.

With a single tap on the barrier, bam…

The barrier vanished. He stepped forward slightly and began clapping.

He removed the scarf from his head, revealing his face. He was in his forties but looked youthful.

He had sharp features, fair skin, one black eye, one brown, and short black hair.

He ignored everyone before him, even the advancing guards, as his aura gradually rose.

It was Wan Shu, one of the deputies of the Ghost Organization…

He spoke before everyone, "What's the value of a tournament held by someone who can't protect his throne?"

The king rose from his seat, furious, "Identify yourself before you die."

"I am Wan Shu, one of the deputies of the commander of the Ghost Organization from the Central Continent!!!"

The king looked at Wan Shu and thought internally, "If I kill him here, I'd be declaring war on the massive Ghost Organization."

The first elder looked at Wan Shu, gripping the sword in its sheath.

"Do you know what it means to cause chaos in our kingdom, you filthy fool?"

Wan Shu turned his gaze to the first, "A bug is talking?"

The first glared with intense anger at the insult directed at him.

"I'll kill you here!!"

"Triple Sword Melody."

The first advanced and delivered three strikes toward Wan Shu.

"Do you think I'm that fool from earlier?" Wan Shu was unscathed.

Wan Shu struck the first in the area between his chest and stomach.

The first stumbled back, coughing up large amounts of blood, his breathing labored.

Wan Shu kicked his face, throwing him toward the combat hall's wall.

"Doomsday Blaze."

He unleashed a fiery torrent in the shape of a winged dragon, burning slowly at first but exploding on the first elder's body upon contact.

The king leapt, glaring at Wan Shu.

"Scale Hammer."

Energy condensed into a celestial hammer, and he aimed a strike at Wan Shu.

But Wan Shu dodged it with high speed.

"You're strong. I shouldn't fight you," he smiled slyly at the king.

He placed the scarf back over his head, returned to his starting point, and cast a fleeting glance at Farkan.

He vanished from everyone's sight.

Seconds later, the king spoke, "Clean up the mess and treat the first elder quickly—he's on the brink of death. Spectators, leave and return for the next fight!!"
