As the door swung open, the first thing that caught the eye was a room filled with all kinds of test tubes and scientific instruments. At the center stood a large transparent capsule containing an egg the size of a washbasin, surrounded by various monitoring devices.
Around the room, six experimental pods were arranged neatly. Through the glass panels on the pod doors, one could clearly see that there were people lying inside. Their mouths and noses were connected to an array of tubes and instruments. Two of them even had their skulls surgically opened and replaced with transparent, glass-like artificial domes, exposing their brains in full view.
"Dr. Roco, how's the experiment coming along?" Dr. Gero closed the door behind him and placed a plastic bag onto a nearby table. From the far end of the table, a short, wrinkled, grotesque creature stood up and opened the bag. Inside was a half-raw lamb leg. He took a bite—blood still dripping from the meat—and replied in heavily accented, awkward Earth language, "It's... going... well... I think... we can... release android 11 and android 12... see how... effective... they are!"
Who exactly was this Dr. Roco? When did Dr. Gero start working with such a hideous alien? If Goku were to witness this scene, he'd surely be shocked. It seemed the timeline of Dragon Ball had already started to deviate drastically due to someone's interference.
----
Dr. Roco walked between two of the experimental pods and pressed the activation switches. The pod doors slowly opened, revealing two androids—one slender and one obese. These two androids had never appeared in the original series and looked completely unremarkable. In fact, they appeared frail and unimposing.
Roco took out a remote control and pressed two buttons. The androids opened their eyes instantly and stepped out of the pods, forcefully detaching the cables and instruments connected to their bodies.
"Dr. Roco, do you have any instructions for us?" The two androids stood respectfully in front of Roco.
Dr. Gero squinted as he watched the scene unfold, then complimented with a fawning smile, "Dr. Roco, your androids are truly remarkable! So obedient and well-behaved! Mine wouldn't even listen to me unless I used a remote control to forcefully command them!"
"Hmph! Don't compare your garbage technology with my androids!" Roco sneered disdainfully.
"Yes, yes, of course! How could I possibly compare to you, Dr. Roco!" Gero smiled on the surface, but his eyes briefly darkened. For a scientist, having one's work belittled was the ultimate insult. But due to some unspoken concern, he kept his dissatisfaction buried.
"Go find a man named Son Goku. I want to see how strong you really are. I've already uploaded all his data into your brains," Roco said coolly.
"Understood!" Android 11 and android 12 bowed respectfully, then shot into the sky and disappeared.
---
On a bustling city street, cars weaved through traffic, horns blaring. A massive truck was driving slowly past the entrance of an underground tunnel. Suddenly—Boom!—the manhole cover exploded upward as a figure burst out of it and slammed into the truck's undercarriage, sending the vehicle flying dozens of meters before it crashed into a crowd with a thunderous explosion. Screams echoed—casualties were immediate and devastating.
Passersby were stunned. As the shock wore off, they began to scatter, screaming in terror.
"android 12, Dr. Roco told us to find someone named Son Goku. Do you know where he is?" asked android 11, a skinny figure resembling a bamboo pole, who had just flown up from the tunnel. He turned to the chubby android 12, who stood only about 1.5 meters tall.
"No idea. We'll just have to search slowly. But since we're out, we might as well have some fun," android 12 replied nonchalantly. As he spoke, he raised his right hand and launched a ki blast into the crowd. In an instant, dozens of people turned to dust, leaving a massive crater in the ground.
"That looks fun! I wanna play too!" android 11 soared into the sky and started hurling energy blasts wildly. The crowd below were thrown into chaos—blood and gore everywhere. Vehicles exploded, buildings collapsed, and in just moments, the area was reduced to rubble.
Soon, a flood of police cars arrived and surrounded them. But against these two androids, the police were utterly useless. Under their relentless ki blasts, all were turned to ash.
"This place is boring now. Let's head to the next spot!" android 12 said.
Moments later, the two androids landed on another street.
"Hey... did you see that? Those guys... they can fly!" a young man standing nearby exclaimed to his three friends. They had just watched the two androids descend from the sky, stunned speechless.
android 12 slowly walked toward them.
"H-He's coming over here!" the group instinctively took a few steps back.
android 12 stopped in front of them. His eyes briefly flashed with electronic signals, then a wicked grin curled on his lips. He threw a punch straight into one of the guys' faces, launching him through the wall of a nearby building.
"You bastard! What the hell are you doing?!" the others shouted in anger, but none dared step forward. That single punch had sent their friend flying—who would dare face that?
android 12 chuckled again, leapt into the air, and with a spinning kick, sent all three of them crashing through another building's wall.
Not long after, a car approached and honked several times. When android 11 didn't move, the impatient driver rolled down his window and shouted, "Hey! Get outta the way! You hear me?! Move it or I'll run you over, you son of a—!"
android 11 turned his head slightly and walked over to the car window. Calmly, he asked, "Do you know a man named Son Goku?"
"N-N-No... I don't," the driver stammered, shaken by the android's gaze.
"Alright then. You may go." android 11 stepped aside.
"Th-Thanks!" The driver floored the gas pedal and sped off.
android 11 watched the car accelerate away, then slowly raised his right hand. A small opening appeared in his palm. A ki blast fired out with a boom, and the speeding car exploded in a ball of flames.
"Ahhh! Murder! Run!" Panic spread through the crowd as people fled in terror. Some even pulled out their phones and started calling the police.
"Don't run, everyone! Come play with us!" android 12 shouted gleefully. In a blur, he reappeared in the middle of the crowd, throwing punches left and right, sending bodies flying like rag dolls. Blood splattered everywhere—those who didn't die were left mangled and crippled.
---
In the vast expanse of space, a spaceship sped through the void. Inside were seven aliens who all looked similar to Dr. Roco. Two of them shared his short, grotesque appearance, while the remaining five were tall, muscular, and clearly powerful. Occasional flashes of electronic signals in their eyes revealed that these five were androids.
"Litaso, have you found any trace of Roco yet?" one of the short aliens asked the other, who was typing away at a satellite scanner.
"Still searching, Jak. No need to rush," Litaso sighed. "There's no sign of his life signal in this area either. We should try elsewhere."
"Could it be that Roco's developed something to block his life signal?"
"Who knows? With his talent, it's possible."
"We have to bring that maniac to justice. If he keeps this up, who knows how many planets will suffer?"
Beep Beep!
Suddenly, a light on the screen began flashing. Litaso and Jak's eyes lit up. "That's an android energy signature! The frequency matches the type used on our planet—it must be one of Roco's creations. Trace it, quick! Where is it coming from?!"
"The signal is coming from a planet not far from here—a place called Earth!" Litaso said excitedly.
"Dr. Roco… it's been three years, and we've finally found you. You exile! This time, you're not getting away. Jak, set course—destination: Earth. He will be captured!"
"Understood!"
The spaceship made a sharp turn and accelerated toward Earth.
---
Back on Earth, in an underground lab, Roco stared at a screen flashing with alerts. A sinister smile crept onto his face.
"Heh heh… So, they've finally arrived? I've been waiting a long time for this moment. This time, I won't run away like some beaten dog. Come then—let me show you the power of my new super androids!"
Not long after, a spaceship flashed into existence above a city on Earth. If Goku had seen it, he'd be shocked by its speed and design—it made the Saiyan spacecraft look like outdated junk.
"The android signals are coming from those two down there! Such savage behavior… this must be Roco's work!" Litaso said grimly as he looked down at Androids 11 and 12 wreaking havoc. He turned to the five androids standing straight beside him. "Galactic Pursuit Force—move out! I want them alive!"
"Yes, sir Litaso! Mission accepted!" The five androids flew out from the ship's open bay doors.
Beep Beep!
As Androids 11 and 12 continued their rampage, an alarm in their heads suddenly went off. They looked up.
"Huh? That energy signal… must be the androids who've been hunting down Dr. Roco's group."
The five Galactic androids landed and surrounded Android 11 and android 12.
"We are the Galactic Pursuit Force's android. I am Type B—Unit 1."
"I am Type B—Unit 2."
"I am Type B—Unit 3."
"I am Type B—Unit 4."
"I am Type B—Unit 5."
