Chapter 20 - TEARFUL EYES

For 3 days Nolan traveled through the forest to reach the town it should have taken only two days but the reason for his travel took long is cause few wrong turn and his encounter with some creatures like goblins,dire wolf's, orc .he was surprised when he saw the orcs as their massive body with pig head felt really weird and to kill 1 orc he shot 4 rounds from Lee Enfield on its chest and 2 rounds to another ones head, he was already tired from the travel and he didn't get much rest for 3 days after walking through the forest for nearly 2 hours Nolan found a road, looking at the roads left side direction he saw a town which is obviously talinl he walked 0.5 mile to reach the town gate and entered inside paying the entry fee asking some locals for directions he got to the church when Nolan got inside he saw few people praying kneeling infront of a goddess statue after looking at few benches were people are sitting he found a familiar figure when nolan got near he found victor with his sister praying and chanting some words he can't understand,then Nolan called victor, he turned his head and looking at nolan victor eyes got wet but he didn't cry and looking Nolan again Lavinia smiled ,seeing this the church nun approached Nolan and started to talk " hello mister you must be these children's brother " Nolan was confused before he could speak the priest spoke again " when I asked these children about their parents they told me they are waiting for their brother who will come again and pick them, I saw few children who abandoned by their parents and waits for them for many days I thought these little ones are fated like that but you are good man to come and get your siblings may the goddess bless your soul with peace and happiness " blessing Nolan the nun had gone to do her duties, looking at victor Nolan didn't say anything and got outside the church ,victor though hesitant followed Nolan with his sister,when victor wanted to say sorry about the lie he said to the nun ,Nolan spoke " you don't need to call me sir just call Nolan or brother anything " hearing Nolans word victor was happy and said " OK brother Nolan " following him a small voice also called Nolan " brother no-lan" hearing a cute call Nolan replied them "yes" and they gone to a inn to got 1 room with two beds for them ,when they got into their room Nolan was very hungry so he made sandwiches with meat and fruits ,after eating their dinner victor started to tell the Information he heard from various merchants,as the borders of vel vedera and Robilestain are tightened and these two countries are stock piling food and weapons from the market which are signs of war,so victor suggested to travel through the free city mitalek as merchants or adventurers which will take 1 or 2 weeks ", Nolan asked victor a doubt " what is this free city " victor started to explain " these free city are run by merchants and these cities doesn't come under any Nobel domain these kind cities pays a significant amount per year from their profits for autoruny to the royal family " Nolan thought about Victor's idea and he agreed with victor to travel to the free city mitalek day after tomorrow to get some rest for a day ,nolan slept well after 3 days of travel ,the next day breakfast was served at the inn which is simple prodige with hard black bread but pleasent after completing their breakfast nolan got in the room , victor went to buy some rations for travel and nolan sitting alone in the room done maintenance to his guns , opened the market to buy some ammunition and noticed few options are added in the weapons like old stick grenade's in world war 2 movies, Winchester 1910 lever action rifle, dinamites,etc he checked the other options but their isn't any change and he checked status as his level is 5 and his strength and agility is increased by 2 points after getting everything from market he closed it and took some rest then victor came with rations ,with him and his sister,nolan ate some delicious stake at a restaurant but the spices didn't satisfy nolan who are stakes with finest spices on weekends with his friends which gave him a nich name from his buddys as stake strom after the lunch nolan bought few cloths for them and for him also finally they got to in and ate the dinner nolan made sleeping early for tomorrow's travel.
