The trio rode in silence as the sun dipped behind the trees. The academy walls peeked over the horizon.
The boys left the village after a day of rest and went back on there way back to the academy even duo the villagers offered for them to stay a few more days.
"We'll need to report everything," Nick finally said. "Even what happened in the cave."
" which part exactly" asked Asher the part of going off mission or the part of almost getting killed.
"Oooo,You mean Ethan's shadow magic?" Asher asked. "You think the instructors will freak out?"
"I think they'll want answers."
Ethan stared ahead, jaw tight. The shadows still whispered at the edge of his thoughts.
"I don't think I have their answers," he said quietly.
" You don't have to give them an answer because we are not telling anyone about what caused that shadow magic until we are really sure it was you after all a lot of things happen that still can't be explained by mage's and we still don't know how the academy will react if the find out Ethan. You might even be caught or worse experimented on" said nick.
"Why would the experiment on Ethan " said Asher.
Ethan turns he face looking at nick" there is something you are not telling us right nick"said Ethan.
" And for good reasons " said nick, there are something you shouldn't even know about, something know about could get you killed, for just knowing it" said nick seriously.
The boys finally made it back to the gates of the academy and couldn't fell more happier than that.

At least this mission wasn't a total burst said Asher looking into his storage ring with a body of an ogre stored inside it.
Learning that the ogres body could be exchanged for points Asher was so happy that he rushed to collect the ogres body but was stopped by nick offering to share it equally with Ethan getting two, Nick and Asher got one each
