Chapter 68 - CHAPTER 8

Quirrell stared at the shattered shards of ice scattered across the ground, his eyes wide in disbelief. Blood trickled down from a shallow wound at his feet. He jerked upright as though electrocuted, pointing a trembling finger at the lone vampire corpse lying lifeless nearby.

"You—you used the Killing Curse! The Killing Curse? Merlin's beard, you're only twelve years old! How is this even possible?"

He hobbled forward, his movements a chaotic mixture of limping and lunging. He reached toward Moriarty's head, but his hand froze mid-air, aware that such an intimate gesture would not be welcomed.

Despite all his mental preparation, the fact that a student had unleashed the Killing Curse clearly unsettled Quirrell. A tinge of fear crept into his gaze as he looked at Moriarty again.

Just then, Moriarty received a familiar mental prompt from the system: "Detected: Host has slain eight vampires. Reward: 1,900 points."

"How many points do I currently have?" he asked silently.

The system responded, "Host's point summary: 700 points remaining, 5,000 points earned for retrieving the serpent, 1,900 for vampire eliminations. Since January, 154 random tasks have been issued; 112 have been successfully completed. Total points earned: 11,200. Combined with other earnings, host has accumulated 18,800 points."

Moriarty gave a small nod of satisfaction. Nearly 20,000 points within a single school year—an impressive feat by any standard. With such resources, he could unlock advanced magic like Occlumency and Legilimency, or even additional system features. The magical world teemed with secrets and hidden wonders; one could sign in and uncover new treasures at every turn.

"System, can I unlock the sign-in quest feature?"

Before he could confirm, a sultry voice interrupted, "A twelve-year-old boy who can wield the Killing Curse? My, my, sister is growing more fond of you by the second~ Want a kiss from your sister? Come here."

Mrs. Kewa stepped out from behind a rock, her voice oozing charm now laced with something far more sinister. The innocent softness was gone—replaced by a magical, alluring cadence. A sly smile twisted her lips as she walked toward Moriarty, stripping off her obsidian nightdress.

Ding Dong—System Notification: Target identified—Kewa, a hybrid offspring of Meiwa and vampire. Task issued: Eliminate Kewa. Reward: 12,000 points. Punishment: Should host become a vampire, feeding will be restricted for 3,000 years.

"What does that mean?" Moriarty asked, narrowing his eyes.

The system elaborated, "Due to her intense obsession with the host, in the event of your defeat, you will likely become her chosen family, initiating your vampire transformation. Though still viable as a behind-the-scenes figure, you will be punished by losing the ability to feed for three millennia."

Moriarty digested the implications quickly, then turned to warn Quirrell. "She's using charm magic! Shut your eyes—don't look at her!"

Without delay, Moriarty accessed the system store, spending 6,000 points on an advanced ice-based magic: Touch of Cold Fury. He would never let himself fall into a vampire's clutches.

But it was already too late—Quirrell's eyes were glazed over. He beheld not a monstrous hybrid, but a radiant saint-like figure. She appeared to him as divine and nude, the ultimate enchantress.

In truth, she had assumed her true form—a grotesque, enormous white bat.

The creature unfurled its vast, veined wings and leapt onto Quirrell, lapping at his face with a revolting pink tongue.

"Touch of Cold Fury!" Moriarty chanted. Instantly, a frosty aura enveloped him. Snow and rime flurried outwards, forming an ice field that spread from his feet to Quirrell's body.

Teleporting beside the monstrous bat, Moriarty seized both wings with a glacial grip.

Crack!

The sound of shattering echoed—the bat's wings froze solid, rendering it immobile just before its fangs could pierce Quirrell's skin.

Moriarty used the Levitation Charm to float Quirrell away to safety. Then, he invested another 5,000 points, this time purchasing a spell named Prison Ice Calamity.

"Congratulations, host has advanced to Level 32: Senior Wizard."

"Prison Ice Calamity!"

Moriarty raised his cedar wand skyward. From its tip burst a gleaming arrow of frost. The skies darkened ominously. A single raindrop fell onto the bat.

Boom!

Thunder cracked. Rain intensified, followed by hail and a ferocious blizzard. The weather magic slammed into the bat with relentless fury, submerging it under a mound of ice larger than the original battlefield.

This newly formed icy prison was absolute. Nothing inside could escape without Moriarty's consent.

Three seconds—just three more, and the creature would be permanently entombed.

But suddenly, Moriarty's instincts screamed danger.

The bat had vanished.

He bolted, enhancing his movement with his magical boots. Just as he cleared the space beside a boulder, a jet of green light blasted the ground behind him, leaving a smoldering crater.

"You're not the only one who can wield Avada Kedavra," came a sticky, seductive voice from behind.

The boulder behind him exploded.

Through the raining debris, Moriarty caught a glimpse of Mrs. Kewa. She had drawn her wand—strangely, from behind her lower back—and stood provocatively on a frozen platform, her limbs poised in a display of raw seduction.

This time, her allure wasn't magical—it was simply her true, bewitching form.

"The vampire's transformative magic… the innate allure of a half-blood demon," Moriarty muttered, unnerved. "That explains how she broke the prison."

Mrs. Kewa smirked in acknowledgment and seemed genuinely impressed by Moriarty's composure.

"You Brits always surprise me. Just last week, there was a red-haired boy—delightfully boisterous! But that insufferable Randy clung to him, and Uriah's boss had eyes on him too," she pouted before flashing him another coy grin. "Luckily, I found you. I won't die alone, hoho."

She aimed her wand at Moriarty, viscous liquid dripping from its tip.

"Come on, taste sister's essence… I'm simply drenched in desire."

A geyser of mucus-like liquid gushed toward Moriarty, laced with a sickening sweetness—likely infused with blood.

He grimaced. "Even I must admit… water magic has its… charms."

"Touch of Cold Fury!" he yelled.

He transfigured a nearby rock into a stone blade. As he grasped it, the sword solidified into an ice weapon. One swipe and the freezing field expanded, colliding with the vile liquid. The sword, however, corroded in the process.

Still, it had served its purpose. The liquid froze solid.

Mrs. Kewa was proving to be Moriarty's most formidable foe yet.

Summoning the Slytherin Staff with the Flying Charm, he readied another attack—but the momentary distraction allowed Kewa to act.

"Bone-Shattering Curse!" she cried.

"Protego Maxima!" Moriarty cast in time, generating a powerful protective barrier.

He retaliated: "Whispering Snake!"

From beneath the snow, serpents slithered out, wrapping around Kewa—only for her to morph into the white bat once again.

The snakes were reduced to pulp, torn apart by her transformation.

But Moriarty had predicted this.

"Your transformation window is your moment of greatest vulnerability!" he declared.

"Snowbound Lament!"

The bat reeled from the psychic assault. Sensing the freezing encroachment, it hastily reverted back to her humanoid form—but Moriarty was ready.

"Avada Suo!"

Boom!

Kewa's body was launched through the air. She crashed with a sickening thud and fell still.

Was it over?

Moriarty, cautious, followed with a Gouging Hex.

The woman screamed in agony—alive, but barely.

He stepped closer, wand still trained.

"System, exchange 7,000 points for Legilimency."

"Purchase confirmed. Remaining balance: 1,800 points."

A surge of warmth flooded Moriarty's mind. The spell rooted itself instinctively. Without hesitation, he cast Legilimency on the dying Mrs. Kewa.
