Before the break of dawn, Claudia could not bring herself to sleep, not when Blair and her children slept so peacefully and Caleb tossed and turned. Time was running out on her side fast, but there was so little she could do. Trust couldn't be built overnight, and that was one thing she did not have for Lucien and Emilia. Unlike her, they appeared to know more.
They look like they have been in the game longer than they were letting on. Claudia tossed the duvet off her body and quickly glanced at the sofa, but no one was there.
"Kabir," she called, but only the echoes of her voice came back. This only infuriated her more.
