I have literally no clue why I am here or how I came here. I want to know more and more, I seek more knowledge. I look around, and I see that there are a bunch of sparsely populated trees around the place. I see a river quite far banked by a tuft of exposed stones. The day has just started, and the sun is on the horizon. Somehow, I've acquired a basic understanding of this world: I know about the tools I can create for survival and that I can only sleep at night, which affects the passage of time and brings about a new day.. Spending time at night is inconvenient compared to daytime, and I have much more to learn about the eccentric mechanisms of this world from the smallest fluctuations and largest phenomenon, where I came from, and about other worlds if they exist...
I plan on getting some basic and common tools today before nightfall. I go to the nearest tree and start collecting wood. After collecting 5 logs of wood, I suddenly saw a white thing passing by. I go closer and notice its small physique. It's a hen, of course I wasn't lucky enough to pass by sheep, which were needed for making a useful tool, a bed.
I start giving the hen a quick chase after hitting it once, trying to hit it. Ideally, one should easily be able to kill these passive mobs barehanded, but I felt it was quite difficult to jump and hit. I understood what role experience plays in one's power.
After killing the hen, I sprint to the stone tuft by the river bank and start playing out the next phase of the plan for the day. I quickly converted all the logs into planks and made a crafting table and wooden pickaxe. Then I collect half a stack of stones and 3 exposed coals. After I am done, I notice that the Sun will soon go down. I quickly made a stone pickaxe, axe, and shovel, along with 4 torches. Realisation washed over me as I analysed how much precious time I had squandered chasing after that hen and then gathering extra stones instead of focusing on my primary goal—finding sheep for a much-needed bed to survive the night and getting a basic foothold. I scouted around and saw a few cows and foxes appearing around, but sadly, I couldn't find a single trace of sheep.
I was on my last leg, a thought clicked to me. Maybe if I kill the nearby animal, the chances of sheep appearing would increase. I quickly equipped my sword and started slaughtering the foxes near me. I know the chances of me obtaining the bed by the end of the day are pretty steep, but after all I give it a try. There is nothing to lose.
After a while, it had already turned to night. I had killed 3 cows and 2 foxes in my sight. I see that two sheeps have appeared. I look at the sky; the Sun has already gone down, and the moon reigns over it.
I start hunting down the sheeps swiftly with my stone sword. Before I could kill it, I started hearing growls coming nearby. My birth knowledge tells me the dangers of night have started. I give up on the sheeps and start fleeing the site, as the risk to my life by staying out in the open increases exponentially as time passes, especially in my current state.
I sprinted away to the river. While sprinting, I discovered something new: that I can recall everything in perfect detail since I had come to this world, like I had experienced it only moments ago. I quickly reach the river, taking the shortest possible path, and start swimming away from the landmass. As I am swimming, I notice my hunger. My hunger bar, according to my birth knowledge, has dipped down by 4 points while my health is maxed out. I need to swim for the entire night in the worst that I don't any land free of monsters.
After swimming for about a quarter of the night, assuming the night and day last for the same amount of time, I still don't see any land within the range of my sight; endless ocean speards all around me. After spending another quarter of the night, land finally appears in my eyesight. It's called a desert biome, according to my inherent knowledge. As I get closer, I notice a group of monsters made purely of bones; they are specified as skeletons in my inherent knowledge. I swam away in an optimum way to get away from them as fast as I could. After all, I didn't know when they would notice me or in what ways they could attack me.
I only have less than half of the points on the hunger bar left. After analysing my situation, I understood my hunger depletes the more actions I perform, and the more tedious the action, the more the hunger is used. I deduced that my health and hunger should be closely interrelated; hunger should play a key role in regenerating health. After all, health can't be permanently removed. I couldn't continue my current pace of swimming after a while. Confused, I tried calmly deducing why such a situation would occur. I saw I was down to 3 hunger bar points, and saw another importance of the hunger stat.
After just a few moments, I noticed that the water around me was getting murky. Suddenly, I could hear gurgles beneath me. BAM… SWOSH… THUD! there were HUMAN-shaped monsters beneath me.
