After parking the car,
Xiao Fei led a large group of people, all heading home in high spirits.
As soon as they stepped through the door, they heard Er Bao crying.
Xiao Fei quickly changed his shoes, set down the guzheng he had just purchased along with some other instruments, and headed toward the living room.
At that moment, Mrs. Tang was holding Er Bao, trying to soothe her.
"Auntie, let me take over."
Xiao Fei walked over and took Er Bao in his arms.
Then he reached out and gently tapped Er Bao's nose.
The previously tear-streaked and sobbing Er Bao immediately stopped crying when she saw her dad.
Her tiny hands clung tightly to Xiao Fei's clothes, her big eyes staring at him pitifully.
It was as if she was accusing him: Daddy, why did you come back so late?
"Er Bao, be good~"
"Don't cry, don't cry, Daddy's home now…"
Xiao Fei murmured soothingly as he comforted her.
"Auntie, what happened to Er Bao?"
"Why was she crying so hard?"
