"Warriors of Asgard!! I am Magnar Odinson! Prince of Asgard! Although this is my first time leading a battle, I believe I will lead you to victory. After all, there is a first time for everything! And today will be the day I command the Aesir to triumph for the first time!"
I shouted, standing in front of the Asgardian army. After all, this was my first time leading them, I needed to give a good speech to rile up their enthusiasm. And it would seem that I was successful, at least they are more enthusiastic than before.
For this battle, I had been granted 8,000 men, 300 warships, several artillery guns, and much more. We were fully prepared for war, and I had no doubt about our victory.
[Master, are you sure you don't want my help?]
"No, Raph. A man's gotta do some things on his own. If I can't even lead an army, what am I even a king for? Besides, I'm sure we'll win—the Kamitarr are too weak. I just need to ensure our losses are minimal."
I spoke with confidence. Leading an army into battle was like a dream come true, and as an avid fan of combat strategy games, I couldn't let Raph take this moment away from me.
It felt like I had waited for this moment for two whole lives...
"Heimdall! Send us to the Kamitarr!"
The Bifrost roared to life. The Rainbow bridge of destruction—the symbol of Asgard's might—descended upon X-Trea, the planet ruled by the Kamitarr.
As we descended in front of our eyes came the military camp of the Kamitarr, just a quick scan, and I shouted the orders,
"Warriors! Take positions! Warships, open fire! Artillery, begin carpet bombing!"
The Kamitarr forces had planned to use this base to launch a preemptive strike—a desperate attempt to keep the battle away from their home world. Which was a good decision on their part,
But unfortunately for them, they hadn't accounted for the power of Asgard's Bifrost, which allowed us to strike straight into their camp.
GATES!
With a flick of my hand, portals opened across the battlefield, allowing our warships and warriors to spread out, encircling the enemy from all sides.
"All forces! Enter through the gates and fire from all directions!" I shouted my orders.
My part was done. This should be enough, This was was just too easy.
-Kamitarr War Camp-
General Karim, commander of X-Trea's forces, looked at the battlefield reports with rising panic.
The Aesir's attack was too sudden. They had been completely unprepared, and the brutal bombardment had thrown their army into chaos.
"All units, regroup at the center of the camp! Raise the Turtle Shield! We will shoot from the inside and make them bleed to death! No filthy Aesir is leaving X-Trea today!!"
Under his command, the remaining 100,000 Kamitarr soldiers gathered at the camp's center. A blue dome-like shield began forming, sealing them inside.
Yes, even after all the bombardment, they still outnumbered the Aesir by over twelve times, and they intended to utilize that.
From within the dome, their artillery and plasma cannons were raised—ready to turn this into a battle of attrition. With their massive numbers, if this really does turn into a long war, victory is almost guaranteed for them...
-Back to Magnar-
As I watched their formation shift, a grin spread across my face. These Kamitarr insects really thought they were onto something.....they don't realize how fucked they are right now....
"Everyone! Raise your defenses! Draw your swords and prepare to attack!"
The Aesir warriors obeyed instantly, but unease was clear in their expressions. Charging at the dome now would be the stupidest move possible... and they could only hope I wouldn't make such a decision. But since it was my first time leading them, they could only silently pray that I had some brains...
I pointed at the massive shield.
"You see that? Those filthy Kamitarr think they can trap us in a war of attrition. That by hiding inside a shell, they can outlast us. Defeat us."
I let my words sink in.
"But we are the warriors of Asgard! Do they really think huddling together will save them?!" I paused for a bit, let my words sink in, then continued,
"We will make them realize that they have just committed the worst mistake of their Life!!!"
My soldiers braced themselves, groaning internally, expecting the next command to be "CHARGE!"
But as the God of Wisdom, did they really think I'd make such a rookie mistake?
I raised my hand.
"HEIMDALL! UNLEASH THE BIFROST! STRIKE THEM! ERADICATE THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS!"
And soon, A pillar of light roared from the sky.
The Bifrost descended, tearing through the heart of their formation like the wrath of the gods. Their defensive Dome crumbled like paper, not even lasting a second. And what happened next was obvious.....Annihilation.
The Kamitarr were done for. They weren't coming back from this.
My strategy had been simple—surround them, force them into a defensive shell, gathering together, and then wipe them out all at once before they could fight back. No brute strength, no unnecessary risks—just pure tactical genius.
And the best part? We had suffered almost zero losses.
But there was one thing left to handle—the Aesir warriors. If they didn't get to fight, their frustration would skyrocket. So I continued ordering,
"CHARGE!!! Finish off the survivors! Take prisoners if needed—but leave no enemy standing!"
With a battle cry, the Aesir forces surged forward.
The odd few thousand remaining Kamitarr never stood a chance.
It was a genocide. A flawless victory.
They had been smart—keeping the war away from their home planet was a good plan. The Turtle Dome was also a solid strategy.
But they had made one mistake—underestimating the attack power of the Bifrost.
And for that? They had paid the price.
As for me?
I just led a three-star attack.
Now, I was about to send the battle recording back to my clan to flex, Hela would surely be jealous!~
