Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Skills to Increase Physical Strength

Chapter 29: Skills to Increase Physical Strength

Yang Bo came out, and the Tiger-faced King also received the news, but the Tiger-faced King dared not send out his men lightly.

Yang Bo had left a psychological shadow on Tiger Face King. Three times: the first time, he lost the most advanced bio-mecha; the second time, the hunting team suffered heavy losses; the third time, three of Blood Bat's subordinates were killed, and Blood Bat himself was seriously injured, losing one of his top generals.

Tiger Face King also suspected that some of his subordinates might have defected to the government army—such incidents had occurred in history before.

"Hold your position and observe carefully," the Tiger-faced King finally ordered. He decided to play it safe first, especially since Yang Bo had brought more bombs this time than last time.

A hundred simple Yang Bos were nothing, but at an altitude of tens of thousands of kilometers, unless one was an A+ or higher-level powerhouse with special abilities, one would be reduced to dust in a matter of minutes.

"Soon, soon!" Tiger-faced King looked up at the sky, but it was just a rock. However, Tiger-faced King seemed to see the orbital cannons and fleets tens of thousands of kilometers away being shattered into pieces.

"When that time comes, I'll pay these scum back double, scum." Tiger-faced King clenched his fists.

Yang Bo was cautious all the way, keeping the radar at maximum sensitivity and moving slowly.

He was afraid someone might ambush him, so he would have to drop bombs while fleeing.

The base watched Yang Bo like this and felt he was acting suspiciously. The base was very curious about Yang Bo.

Yang Bo had caused trouble several times before, but aside from the incident by the lake, the base had reaped significant gains from the other two incidents. The blood bats had been reduced to fragments, which the base had recovered. The base was researching numerous things, including mutant genes, mutant mecha fragments, and even the ability to cultivate identical humans using mutant genes if needed.

But it's meaningless, because memories can't be replicated, unless they capture a live one…

Yang Bo also speculated that there might be orbital cannons or similar weapons at high altitudes, but he wasn't afraid. Who knows what his abilities are?

After walking for ten minutes, Yang Bo felt the pain in his wallet. Since they were entering mountainous terrain, Yang Bo didn't walk but instead activated his rocket backpack, leaping from one mountain peak to another in a single bound. As a result, the maintenance costs for the mecha wouldn't be low.

Few people traveled this way; most opted for external flight devices, which could transport them to their destination in an instant.

External devices require in-game currency, specifically credit points.

The massive cave had a diameter of roughly twenty meters. It was said to have once been the lair of a giant colossal mutated lizard, which later abandoned it.

Exiting the cave leads to a wide, barren valley devoid of vegetation. It is said that the area was long trampled by the mutated lizards, resulting in no plant growth for many years.

Opening the map, Yang Bo noticed that many areas had already been explored by the game developers. He steeled himself and entered, assuming the developers wouldn't lead him astray.

The underground space is divided into several layers based on depth: the first layer is 100 to 300 meters deep, the second layer is 300 to 500 meters deep, and the third layer is 500 to 700 meters deep. It is said that the deepest layer is over 10,000 meters deep, but the second layer is already considered a dangerous zone, and the third layer is extremely dangerous.

This danger zone is assessed based on each player's data, meaning the authorities provided a recommendation based on Yang Bo's current statistics.

"Only a fool would go to the second layer." Yang Bo studied the map carefully and located the bats' position.

This underground world is actually connected to the caves and mountain crevices Yang Bo visited last time. The official statement uses uncertain language, suggesting that the underground passages of the entire planet may be interconnected.

"Damn it, this place is messing with the radar detection." Yang Bo was puzzled why the official authorities seemed to have no effective solutions for this underground world.

Upon entering, he discovered that the mecha radar's detection strength and range were very limited here. Straight passages were still manageable, but in the winding, up-and-down passages, the shortest detection distance was only a few dozen meters.

"Damn it." Yang Bo clearly saw a group of bats on the radar, but when he arrived at the location, he found himself below it. He turned back and continued walking, only to find himself going around it again. Finally, just as he was about to reach it, there was only a one-meter-wide gap to pass through.

"Forget it." Yang Bo picked up a shockwave bomb and threw it directly into the gap.

  Then he hurried away!

Boom! A blast of air swept through the passageway, accompanied by a deafening roar.

  Sound Control +1!

  Sound Control +1!

  Camouflage +1!

A series of information flashed through Yang Bo's mind. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that his camouflage had increased by several dozen points?

Yang Bo examined the radar from earlier and discovered that there was a group of cave lizards over there, a type of subterranean creature up to half a meter long, widely distributed throughout this underground space.

"This ability is awesome." Yang Bo was quite excited about the Camouflage ability. Now he could alter his muscles—could he also alter his bones, height, and so on?

Of course, the greatest use of this camouflage ability was that it could see through others' camouflage. In the high-tech era, Yang Bo felt that the ability granted by this camouflage might be the most valuable.

However, overall, Yang Bo felt he had lost out. The increase in sonic control was less than a thousand points, and the shockwave bomb was not cheap. Moreover, once used, the bats in other areas would fly away.

"It seems I still need to set traps," Yang Bo thought to himself.

He first walked around the area roughly, then selected a spot. Immediately afterward, Yang Bo exited the cave, preparing to search for larger creatures, kill them, and drag them inside. As long as he could eliminate a batch at the beginning, it would be like catching fish over there, allowing for sustainable development.

A cow was instantly killed by Yang Bo with his plasma longsword, though he hadn't used full force. Still, the cow was less than two meters tall, while the mecha was eight meters tall and the longsword five meters long.

  Charge +1!

Yang Bo hadn't expected the cow to grant this ability?

Regardless, he would act first and think later. For these cows, Yang Bo killed the bulls but spared the cows. There were many cows here, but he wasn't sure what kind they were. However, they were definitely not water buffaloes or yellow cattle, as they were over two meters tall, had three horns on their heads, and when they lowered their heads, it resembled a massive steel fork.

Charge, Intermediate (11/100). The reason he killed eleven was to level up the skill to Intermediate.

"Such a strong reaction." Yang Bo felt like his genes were burning inside his body, with his strength being constantly drained.

He quickly logged out of the game, drank some milk, and recharged.

Half an hour later, Yang Bo was stunned—this had consumed 50% of the battery power. Keep in mind this was a new battery with 50,000 units of power.

"Charge relies on one's own strength to activate the skill, so does that mean this skill increases physical constitution?" Yang Bo had a bold hypothesis.

"Ten thousand cows? Damn it, I wonder if there are even that many on the entire planet, not to mention the vast dangerous zones."

"No way, I need to raise cows." Yang Bo quickly logged back into the game.

Someone asked, "How do you raise wild cows?" It's simple—eliminate all their natural predators. At least within a large area, you need to create a safe and comfortable environment for the cows.

"If cows enhance physical strength, what about other large animals?" Yang Bo stared intently at the radar.
