Chapter 2 - 02 Time to go Home

A week passed and Jay has been discharged. The hospital had run tests on Jay and the results showed he is normal. The doctor then concluded his memory loss is due to the psychological trauma from the accident. To regain back his memory, the doctor suggested it would be better for him to recover where he'll feel familiar, at home.

And now, he is in the car of the doctor he met when he woke up. The papers and bills were settled by him like it is the natural thing to do. Jay was unsure but followed him since during his stay at the hospital, the doctor was always been there to accompany him. And Jay also realized that the doctor cared for him greatly.

"Um... I just realized but I don't really remember your name. How should I address you?"

The doctor gripped the steering wheel tightly due to his frustration but flashed a smile for Jay.

"My bad I should have introduced myself again. My name is Alvan but you always call me Van. "

"Van" Jay mumbled but even saying his name doesn't give him a familiar feeling. It's like his memories are completely wiped out and now it's a reset.

Their trip went on quietly. Van is just focused on driving. Jay is glancing outside the window while thinking what kind of relationship he and Van has. He is sure that they have a very close relationship for Van to accompany him every day instead of his family.

Or maybe he is family, Jay thought. He kept stealing glances at Van and looking at his own reflection on the window. They do not look alike at all so being relatives is out of the question.

The car stopped in front of a large gate. Van had stepped out to open the gate. The house can be compared to a mansion but no maids or helpers to open the gate for them. The car rolled in and parked.

As soon as they walked in, Jay looked around hoping to feel familiar of his own house. He even thought the house is too big for him to leave alone and hoped that maybe he's rich.

Van is just standing quietly behind him, looking at Jay from head to toe. Then a surge of feeling hit him. He hugged Jay from the back.

" I thought I'll never see you again inside our house. Please forgive me but let's stay like this for a while." Van said in a trembling voice. He felt like crying for the relief he is feeling right now. Both of them lives at the almost mansion house. The night Jay got into the accident, Van thought it was the last night they'll get see each other.

Jay can feel how tight Van is hugging him slowly making him realize what kind of relationship they have. It was an intimate romantic relationship. He can tell that Van greatly treasured him. He then felt guilty for not remembering even a single memory he shared with Van.

And now, that is not the only thing he feels. Van's breathing became heavy and he can feel Van's hot breathe and with his lips grazing on his nape . Van's hug became lower and slightly pulled Jay backward. Jay can feel something hard poking at his back.

Van's hug became tighter and tighter as if he's supressing something. Jay wants to escape his embrace but is conflicted. If they are in a relationship, it would hurt Van if he tried to escape. But, for Jay it still doesn't feel right. To him, Van is a complete stranger and he doesn't feel the same right now.

Van's actions is not calming down. He is starting to sniff Jay's hair with occasional kisses and licking on the neck. He started removing both of their jackets and let it slide down to the floor. Instead of making Jay excited and respond, it just made him more uncomfortable and wants to escape.

"Uhmm..... Van I'm really tired. I think I need to go to sleep."

Van stopped and held Jay's left hand. He guided him to the bedroom at the second floor. The bedroom has a very big bed and the size looks like it has plenty of space even with two. If he did decide to sleep here, they'll surely sleep beside each other. But seeing how big the house is, Jay doubts this is the only bedroom.

"Do I have my own bedroom? I would like to be alone tonight."

Van didn't like Jay's answer but decided to let it go since for him, the important thing is Jay's back home. He disappointedly lead the way back to the first floor amd showed Jay his room. Its much smaller than the one upstairs.

"This is your room, although you've barely used it. We always sleep together at my room. You only use your room if you're having trouble walking and going up the stairs."

Van smiled mischievously. It only brought shivers to Jay's skin when he realized what Van is trying to say. In Jay's mind, Van is a pervert who is trying to seduce him. Van decided to leave Jay alone to let him rest.

Both of them felt the frustration. One of them, is frustrated that the other one can't remember him while the other's frustration is he is going to live with a complete stranger. But still, both of them knew the priority is Jay's recovery aside from his memory loss. His cast is still intact. That's the only reason why Van is backing down.

Jay decided to lie down. Even the bed didn't make him feel familiar to the home he used to live at. He's starting to think that the recovery of his memory is very far down the lane. How can a fragment of a memory come back when even the closest person and place to him can't even trigger it.

He thought that maybe this is the price of the second chance given to him after the accident. Or maybe, the past must have meant to be forgotten and overwritten with new memories.
