Before watching Aleister and the entire control structure of the Windowless Building get launched into the void of space, Shen He had already pieced together much of the truth—especially the real reason behind the artificial angel's departure.

Even though the Artificial Heaven had reached near-completion, certain overwhelming entities were still capable of resisting its encroachment. One such force was the Right Seat of God's strongest member—the Fire on the Right, wielding the divine right arm of the Archangel Uriel. That was an anomaly the Artificial Heaven couldn't assimilate. Thus, eliminating these wild cards was crucial.

Furthermore, strange irregularities had begun reshaping the world about a month ago.

According to the girl Aleister (still trapped in a paradoxical spiritual state), at the start of a specific day, Iwass vanished—an impossible event on its own. Following that, the Demon Gods scattered across all dimensions also disappeared, and then even the higher-dimensional data structures known as the "Heavens" ceased to respond.

The most direct evidence? High-order magic rituals that required direct communion with the heavens failed entirely. Celestial formulas returned void responses. Magic that once tapped into Archangel networks or accessed Holy Text layers simply... fizzled.

This timeline correlated exactly with the appearance of the Holy Grail and the manifestation of Misaka Mikoto Alter. Shen He had every reason to suspect these anomalies were all causally linked—one massive, systemic reset triggered from beyond the dimensional veil.

But ironically, this realization brought Shen He relief. Without Demon Gods, corrupted Archangels, or descending avatars of Heaven to disturb the world's fabric, there was no longer a looming threat of multiversal collapse. The only major variable left was Aleister himself—immortal, unkillable, and endlessly replicating through quantum sorcery.

And while Aleister was forcibly ejected into deep space, Shen He knew that wasn't enough. He could return—eventually.

That's where Qi Mu Nanxiong came in. The true ace.

By anchoring Aleister inside a closed-loop time construct within the cosmic void—one forged through Qi Mu's omnipotent psychic construct and Shen He's Forbidden Rule inversion—Aleister was effectively trapped in a temporal Möbius strip.

After completing this operation, Shen He received a clearance reward from the summoning system:

Three large golden treasure chests.

Only one could be opened.

"I always feel
this is a bit too convenient," Shen He muttered, staring at the shimmering gold chest inside his dimensional backpack.

Of course, it only seemed convenient. In truth, he'd needed to deploy Qi Mu's full psychic god-mode, ensure the Demon Gods and Angels had been expunged, activate a top-tier enhancement card, and leverage the Absolute Slave Skill solidified through Reality Rewriting inside the "Forbidden World." All of this was prerequisite just to make things look easy.

"And while Qi Mu's still active, let's clear out the Fire on the Right too," Shen He said, standing on the edge of the hospital rooftop, wind brushing against his coat.

He hadn't yet fully tested how exhilarating it was to command a fully optimized Qi Mu Nanxiong.

The enhanced clairvoyance that mapped the entire planet at once, the teleportation that reached any node instantly, the unfathomably precise divination and psychic feedback—once deployed at full strength, locating a threat like the Fire on the Right became trivial.

They even had enough spare time to detour to England's Necessarius Division and meet with Archbishop Lola Stuart—who, as usual, played dumb while shielding classified data behind her crooked smile.

When they returned, all major threats had already been neutralized.

Shen He exhaled deeply. Relief.

Summarizing the haul: One Side (Accelerator) was retrieved; Misaka Mikoto's two variants were drawn from the rare SSR card pool; additionally, they obtained seven primary-level enhancement cards, two intermediate ones, one Special Class Contract Card, and nineteen summoning stones. Shen He's summoner level rose to Level 37.

However, after testing, the Special Contract Card was confirmed incompatible with Aleister's current state. It could not forcibly bind her—likely because she was already anchored via paradoxical data.

Which meant: the card was exclusively attuned to Misaka Mikoto Alter.

With this in mind, Shen He summoned all remaining memory-intact companions across Academy City to the hospital for a gathering.

Aside from Shinsaku Hoori and Aqua of the Rear—both still stationed deep in Far Eastern operations—Kamijou Touma and Bee-Eater Kaori arrived quickly.

"This is the best solution we have." Shen He's voice was calm as he faced the group. "The memory rewrites are absolute. Even Qi Mu can't undo them. The foundational laws of the world have been rewritten to that extent. But
the lives of the Misaka clones are no longer at risk. That's what matters."

The last part was directed at Misaka Mikoto, her Alter, and Accelerator.

"That's enough," Accelerator said flatly. "You've essentially turned the entire world into a sanctuary for idiots. But maybe that's what they need. I'll hold up my end. Whatever dirty work you've got—leave it to me."

"I'll take you up on that eventually," Shen He said with a shrug, then turned to face Misaka Mikoto Alter. "And you? What's your choice?"

"
The Holy Grail that created me
" she said slowly, her voice carrying a heavy tone. "What exactly is it?"

Her crimson gaze didn't waver from Shen He.

She had already heard part of the truth from Misaka Mikoto—but now, she demanded answers.

"That's something from another world
I don't know how to explain it," Shen He said after a moment's pause. "But you can think of your situation as similar to that of Misaka's sisters. Your memories were forcibly instilled. You lack a genuine sense of identity. I'm sure you've noticed that already."

"
" Misaka Mikoto Alter remained silent.

Even if she didn't want to believe it, deep down she knew it was true.

Her existence and her hatred were echoes—just like the Misaka clones who willingly participated in the Level 6 Shift experiment. Their obedience wasn't born from will, but from artificial commands that taught them it was the right thing to do.

"If you feel like you have nowhere left to go," Shen He continued, pulling a shimmering card from his backpack, "then take this. It's an invitation."

They hadn't known each other long, but Shen He had already grasped the Alter's character. Unlike the proud and reactive original Misaka Mikoto, this one was direct and emotionally forthright.

She liked what she liked. She despised what she despised. She wasn't shackled by unnecessary hesitation, and though rough around the edges, she clearly cared about those she deemed important.

For Shen He, that was enough. With some training, she could become a valuable comrade.

"What if I refuse?" Misaka Mikoto Alter asked bluntly, her cold brows knitting. She loathed the feeling of being forced into anything again.

"Then I'm sorry," Shen He replied without emotion, letting the card fall from his fingertips.

The card erupted with radiant light. A contract was etched into the fabric of reality itself—one that bound both Shen He and Misaka Mikoto Alter in mutual resonance.

The contract has been established.

This card was a binding pact—mandatory.

"You bastard!"

Fury burst from her core. Black lightning surged violently around her, but the moment Shen He reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder, the electricity evaporated. As if it had never existed.

A Servant cannot harm their Master. That was the absolute law. No matter how much resentment burned in their heart, it would turn to obedience in the end.

"Relax," Shen He said softly, smiling gently. "I'll give you a home. And honestly
we've already fulfilled your wish, haven't we?"

"
"

Misaka Mikoto Alter's expression slowly softened.

He was right. The sisters had found peace through their new paths—something she, in her rogue existence, had never been able to attain. For that alone, she owed him.

A home, huh

"Understood." She bit her lower lip. "I do need a place to stay. If you're willing to take me in, then I'll accept."

This was the core difference between her and the original Misaka.

If it had been the real one, she would've folded her arms and scoffed, "Hmph, it's not like I'm staying because I want a home or anything."

"Now then," Shen He turned toward the doorway where Dr. Gutai stood. "We'll leave Sister Misaka's conditioning to you, Doctor. As for the contract I mentioned earlier—well, we'll leave that to fate."

He still had twenty summoning stones on hand, but there was no guarantee of pulling the right card.

"I'm just a doctor who treats people," Dr. Gutai said, voice lower and more solemn than usual. "But you—your team has the power to save entire worlds. For that reason alone, I'll help in any way I can. Even if all I can do is treat the injured."

"Haha." Shen He let out a hearty laugh. "That's already enough. And there are more people who need your help—on the other side."

He'd always hoped to recruit a doctor. A team like theirs, crossing dimensions and engaging in constant battle, needed someone with professional healing ability.

"Our time's almost up." Shen He glanced at his watch. "I'm currently acting as a proxy councilor in Academy City. I'll return again soon. Please say goodbye to the gods and the Fire Spirit on my behalf. If you need anything, just pass word to Mikoto or the others. Also—Qi Mu Nanxiong will help with your condition."

"Condition?" Kamijou Touma scratched his head. "Now that you mention it
I do feel a bit shorter."

What he didn't realize was that Qi Mu, under Shen He's guidance, had subtly rewound his body's time by one year to reverse an irreversible fate.

Shen He just smiled without explaining.

Nearby, the Bee Eater looked at Shen He with tearful gratitude.

The root of her pain—the impossibility of being remembered by Kamijou—had finally been resolved.

Shen He could only offer a silent prayer for Kamijou now. With the Queen Bee watching him so closely, would he even be able to walk out of here intact?

After the final farewells were said, the system blinked:

[Copy Cleared]

Shen He and his companions were removed from the instance of the Magic Catalog world.

Surprisingly, the remaining delayed cards in their inventory converted automatically into Summoning Stones and Experience Compensation. Shen He had assumed they would vanish after the event.

Now, he held 32 summoning stones.

And then, it appeared—the system alert he hadn't seen in a long time:

"Ding! 150 summoning stones detected. New permanent instance unlocked. Limited-time double-instance event activated. Permanent Special Card Pool opened."

Permanent Special Card Pool?

Shen He blinked, then grinned. Opening the instance panel, he saw a brand-new button beneath the God Eater instance.

[Neil Mechanical Era (Mutated Version)]

It was a world based on a game.

Mechanical intelligences born of alien influence had taken over Earth. Humanity had fled to the moon and created androids to reclaim their planet. It was an apocalyptic world—one that fit Shen He's "everyday surreal" aesthetic perfectly.

His first thought: Can I summon 2B?

Without delay, he flipped over to the summoning system. The Doctor Gutai up-pool was still available. But now
a third pool had been added.

Mechanical Life Card Pool.

Shen He's grin widened. The description confirmed that the pool included AI Servants, mechanical combatants, and a variety of futuristic equipment. Not just 2B—maybe even entertainment AIs, all-purpose space warships

The future of the summoning pools was clear now.

The old "All Servants" mixed bag was on its way out.

"Master," Jeanne's voice broke his thoughts. She tugged his sleeve and looked up at him with her bright, innocent gaze. "Why don't you try summoning Doctor Gutai now?"

"Right." Shen He cracked his knuckles. "Let's go."

With 32 stones, the odds were in his favor.

He tapped the interface for his first 10-pull.

Virtual light flared. The cards flew out.

Only one decent item appeared—a 4-star equipment card.

Name: Ascalon

Origin: Magic Catalog

Evaluation: A dragon-slaying blade forged in the image of Saint George's legend. 3.5 meters long. Weighs 200 kilograms. Blade root inlaid with a sigil-bearing shield.

It was a colossal weapon that combined forms—axe, razor, hook, string-saw wire.

Useless for Shen He. But for someone like Wei or Erito, who wielded massive gear? A perfect match.

Shen He remained calm.

Mostly because Doctor Gutai wasn't a sister-type character.

Helpful? Sure. But he lacked "moe value." If a cooking game gave you a character like him as the starter, it would die instantly.

"Try again."

He calmly hit the next 10-pull.

This time, the result was different.

A soft chime echoed. The system's screen flashed.

Doctor Gutai had arrived.

"Yes!" Jeanne jumped for joy.

She had high hopes that Gutai would become a key part of their cross-world support force.

"So this is the contract you mentioned?" Dr. Gutai asked in his usual level tone. "I was a general practitioner in my youth. I suppose this isn't so different. Call on me when needed. But I'll still spend most of my time at my hospital."

"No problem," Shen He said, nodding. "That's exactly what we agreed upon."

Dr. Gutai smiled faintly before his projection faded—returning to his world, where countless patients awaited.
