Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Ah, Just Swallowed in One Bite

"Lady Jade!" Unlike Numpy's 'excitement,' Topaz turned to the newcomer with surprise and delight.

It was a beautiful woman with long pink hair, wearing a black hat with a blue inner lining, a black, blue, and white dress, and adorned with accessories—a necklace with a circular jade pendant, a jade bracelet, and a jade waist ornament.

The employee who had been waiting to give a report quietly retreated, gently closing the door on their way out.

"Little Yelena, hehe, Numpy is still as adorable as ever." Seeing the two little cuties put Jade in an especially good mood.

Topaz calmed down her excitement and curiously asked, "Is there something special about that planet? Or are they still at war?"

"A planet that, before being discovered, couldn't leave its home world on its own, yet had fought the Antimatter Legion for hundreds of years without a decisive outcome..."

"Hmm~~ I heard that planet is also a follower of the Amber King. If it's really as I think, that planet might hold some significance within the IPC."

"Heh, it's not that complicated." Emerald chuckled and explained, "For some reason, traces of a swarm suddenly appeared near the space route of that planet. Xianzhou Luofu even lost part of a merchant fleet there. A small ice ball with unknown value isn't worth sending my little Jelena on an adventure, don't you think~?"

...

With the parts obtained thanks to Godzilla's help, the group successfully established contact with Luofu Xianzhou. Now, all they had to do was wait patiently.

Ji Yi finally let out a long sigh of relief.

The pace of life in Belobog was slow, making it very suitable for someone like him, a middle-aged man soon stepping into old age.

But after all, he was from Xianzhou. The Shadow of Light mag was a major problem, not to mention that the swarms roaming through space could come back at any moment, and there were still remnants of the Antimatter Legion within Jarilo.

His death wouldn't matter; for a Cloud Knight, dying on the battlefield wrapped in a horse's hide was an honorable fate, a free-spirited and glorious way to go. But the young men who had barely survived couldn't just die here.

Neither could the Foxian people—after all, his life had been saved by Lady Yukong back then. If Tingyun were to die here, he wouldn't rest in peace even in death.

"What are you thinking about?" A hand rested on his shoulder. He didn't need to look to know who it was.

"What else? Urging those piloting the ship to hurry up." Gepard patted his shoulder and said with certainty, "Since we've made contact, we'll definitely get you home. If they fly too fast, there might be an accident."

During this time, Gepard and Ji Yi had developed quite a good relationship.

"I say, what are you guys dawdling for? If you keep chatting, it'll be dark soon." Seele, carrying her scythe, said impatiently.

For the past two days, Bronya had been watching her more closely than a prisoner, keeping an eye on that little bottle of ink in her hands. It had taken a lot of effort for her to get this chance to move around.

She couldn't wait to make those monsters feel her wrath!

...

"Get away from Clara!"

"Boom!"

Continuous artillery fire shook the earth, causing the ground to tremble and dust to rise. When the smoke cleared, all that was left was scorched earth and burning debris.

"Svarog is really sharp," Seele remarked in amazement.

Pela, recording data on the side, casually said, "With external support, Svarog's weapon system has been updating rapidly. This is already the most optimized power level after adjustments."

Not only Svarog, but all combat machines had undergone modifications.

This mission aimed to clear out the Antimatter Legion while also recording battle data for future adjustments.

Yes, the Antimatter Legion.

As Jarilo's ecosystem gradually recovered, the Antimatter Legion, which had once ravaged the planet, was also beginning to awaken.

Cocolia had no hope that they could handle catastrophic disasters on their own, but she believed they must deal with some basic monsters by themselves.

Just as she said, Jarilo could not remain a child forever, hiding behind Godzilla.

Just as they were chatting, Svarog suddenly lifted its head and stared in one direction, "Detecting a high concentration of energy response, calculating, matching with the database... Geomarrow vein detected, a large number of sealed Antimatter Legion units detected, threat level: low."

As soon as Svarog finished speaking, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Hearing about the Geomarrow vein made them happy—it meant Belobog would have an ample energy supply again—but the Antimatter Legion was not such good news. Fortunately, it was just a batch of low-level monsters.

"Hey, big boss Svarog, how about a little competition?" Seele placed one hand on her hip, slightly tilted her head back, and spoke to Svarog.

"..." Svarog turned and walked away.

...

While things were busy outside, things were peaceful on Serval's side.

After finishing her work, Serval leaned back, perfectly embedding herself into Godzilla's back. The four spines on Godzilla's back secured her body in place, positioned in a way that perfectly facilitated blood circulation.

"You sure are taking it easy. Meanwhile, I'm exhausted."

Tingyun, who had just finished her own work, saw Serval's lazy posture—it was exactly like the lounging Godzilla. Ignoring appearances, their postures and behaviors were surprisingly similar, especially that laid-back attitude.

By contrast, Tingyun had it much harder. Normally, taking care of a tail should be an enjoyable task—but try caring for a tail that's many meters long!

Just the daily cleaning alone was enough to break her back, and she didn't even dare to slack off.

"Haha, you'll get used to it. I was the same at first."

Tingyun casually lay down beside Serval.

Alright, now there were three of them.

Godzilla let out a comfortable snore. Serval was an old acquaintance—her massages were very enjoyable. As for Tingyun, she had been taking great care of his tail recently. Talent should be nurtured with patience.

Tingyun stared blankly at the lush green leaves. The trees grew in an orderly fashion, layered but not dense. Rays of sunlight filtered through the gaps between the leaves, giving the scene the illusion of an afternoon nap under a parasol tree in a courtyard.

One particularly wide ray of sunlight streamed down, just enough to envelop her and Serval together. And of course, the guy below them as well.

Sometimes, Tingyun thought staying like this wasn't so bad. But she wasn't alone in this world—people who knew her had probably been worried sick during the time she went missing.

And so, the trio—one big and two small—quietly enjoyed the afternoon breeze and sunshine.

"By the way, Miss Serval, why did you choose this kind of life?" Suddenly, Tingyun broke the silence.

With her years of experience, she could tell that deep down, Serval was full of passion. Yet here she was, willing to stay put and even enjoying it. That naturally piqued Tingyun's curiosity.

Serval rested her hands behind her head, "Well, life is life no matter how you live it. Isn't this pretty nice? When there's work, I help out; when there's none, I keep him company, mess around with music, and tinker with the mechanical inventions I wasn't allowed to before. Life couldn't be more comfortable."

Tingyun nodded. There was nothing wrong with finding peace in simplicity.

They continued chatting, eventually touching on how Godzilla had dealt with the Stellaron back then. Tingyun had always been curious about it but never found a good way to ask.

"Ah, just swallowed it in one gulp."

"That's it?"

"That's it."

"..."

Her teeth ached.

Tingyun had never expected it to be so simple.

The Xianzhou Alliance didn't fear Stellaron and could handle it with ease.

But to deal with it this swiftly and decisively... she couldn't even imagine it.

Let alone a Stellaron that had been dormant inside for hundreds of years.

Just as they were chatting, the mountain beneath them began to move.
