Chapter 25 - Team Intro

Adam sat quietly in the small meeting room, his eyes fixed on Mr. Kim. His mind was full of questions. 'How did he manage to hire Monica?' Adam recalled from his future memories that Monica would go on to build her own company—an empire that would grow with new ideas and challenge even the largest corporations.

A spark of hope and curiosity filled him. If Monica was now part of their team, then the new business had a major advantage from the start.

His gaze slowly shifted from Mr. Kim to Monica. She met his eyes with a calm, neutral look.

Adam felt a small smile play on his lips as he thought, 'If Monica is with us from the start, our business will not only survive but will flourish. We have taken one step that many dream of but few achieve.'

At that moment, Mr. Kim walked over to Raven. With a gentle yet firm motion, he placed his hand on the back of Raven's chair. Turning back to Adam, Mr. Kim began to speak in a clear, measured tone.

"This is Raven. He will handle human resources and financial management. Initially, he will be in charge of scouting new talent for us," Kim explained. "I have seen his skills with my own eyes, and I trust him completely. You can rely on him, Adam."

Adam studied Raven carefully. Raven was different from the rest of the team. He did not show a lot of emotion—no wide smile or frown, no signs of excitement or worry. Instead, he simply nodded once and sat back, his face steady and calm. Adam thought to himself, 'So, he's not the expressive type... yet he seems reliable.'

Adam's mind swirled with thoughts. He wondered how each person in the team would contribute to their shared dream. He was the founder, and his ideas were the seed of what would grow into a strong company. But every seed needs care, and each person here was a part of that nurturing process.

The meeting continued, and Mr. Kim then moved toward Lisa. With a kind and reassuring smile, he gently placed his hand on her shoulder. Her bright eyes met his, and her confident expression said that she was ready for any challenge.

"You've already met Lisa," Kim said in a warm tone. "She will oversee market management and risk assessment for our company. Her ability to minimize risks is very strong, and she will play a crucial role in our business strategy."

Lisa waved at Adam with a confident gesture. Adam returned her wave and smiled in response, feeling a sense of relief. He thought, 'I can trust Lisa. I know that she will help steer our company away from dangerous risks.'

Kim continued, "Adam, you can trust Lisa. She has shown me time and again that she knows how to handle the ups and downs of the market. We need someone who can make sure that we do not run into financial trouble as we grow." Adam nodded slowly, taking in every word.

His instincts told him that Lisa was not only smart but also very dedicated. It was clear that each person had been chosen carefully to bring balance and strength to the team.

Next, Mr. Kim stepped aside and pointed toward a man with blonde hair who had been waiting by the door. His light hair caught the soft light of the room, and his face showed a hint of excitement as he stepped forward.

"This is Lee," Kim announced. "He is a corporate lawyer. Although he is still young and has not yet made a big name for himself, I recognize his great potential. Mark my words, Adam—Lee is going to become one of the best lawyers in the corporate world."

Adam gave Lee a welcoming nod. He felt a surge of hope knowing that someone with fresh ideas was on board. "Happy to have you on board, Lee," he said warmly. Lee grinned in return and extended his hand.

"Likewise, Adam. I am looking forward to working with you," he said as they shook hands. In that firm handshake, a silent promise was made—both men understood that they would work hard together to overcome any legal challenges that might come their way.

The introductions filled the room with a growing sense of unity. Each person had a role that would contribute to the dream of building something great. Adam felt that the pieces were finally coming together—each individual was a small part of the larger plan.

Their collective talents, from human resources to market management, from legal advice to risk assessment, would form the backbone of the new company.

Adam looked at each of them and felt his heart warm with hope and determination. He knew that building an empire was not an easy task, but with a team like this, every step forward was a step toward a better future.

After the introductions had been made, Mr. Kim slowly walked back to his seat. Yet, even as he sat, he did not lower his eyes from Adam.

There was a weight in his steady gaze, as if he carried an important message that had yet to be spoken. Adam noticed the change in the atmosphere and raised an eyebrow in silent inquiry.

"Mr. Kim, is there something you want to tell me?" Adam asked, his voice calm but curious.

Mr. Kim took a deep breath, then looked around the room, making sure everyone was paying attention. When he finally turned back to Adam, his tone was both serious and deliberate.

"We've made a decision," Kim stated quietly. There was a pause as the others in the room shifted in their seats, their eyes fixed on him. Adam's heart began to beat a little faster in anticipation.

Adam frowned slightly and asked, "A decision about what?" His voice was filled with both confusion and a hint of concern. He had heard many ideas and plans, but he was not sure what this decision might mean for him or for the team.

Kim exhaled slowly, choosing his words carefully. "We don't want high salaries," he said, letting the words hang in the air. The room grew still, and the sound of quiet breathing filled the silence. Adam blinked in disbelief, feeling his chair scrape the floor as he abruptly stood up.

"What do you mean?" Adam asked, his voice now mixed with surprise and confusion. His eyes searched the faces of those around him for any clue of what was coming next.

Before Kim could speak further, Monica sighed and looked directly at him with a mix of exasperation and resolve. She spoke in a firm tone that cut through the tension in the room.

"Kim, just get to the point already," Monica said, her voice steady and clear.

Turning her gaze to Adam, Monica continued, "Adam, we have decided to take minimal salaries in exchange for company shares." Her words were simple and direct, and they caused a heavy silence to fall over the room.

For a long moment, Adam sat there, his eyes wide with surprise as he processed her words. 'Company shares...' he thought silently, trying to understand the weight of their offer. It was a bold move—one that meant each member of the team was ready to sacrifice a little of their personal income in order to invest in the future of the company. It was a decision that spoke of trust, of commitment, and of a belief in a shared vision.

Slowly, Adam sank back into his chair. He placed his hand over his mouth, his mind racing with thoughts.

The room was silent, and every eye was on Adam. He could feel the weight of their expectations and the hope that his approval would set the course for the future.
