Chapter 4 - Villain part II

It wasn't even a fight if you ask me. Yes, they were troublesome but not as deadly as I had initially thought.

As my opponent swung his axe downward, I quickly stepped aside from the direction it was heading.

As the axe hit the ground, the impact cracked the arena surface.

But before the axe even reached the ground, I had already flipped myself into the air, avoiding the aftershock.

Landing on the handle of the axe, I could see the shock on my opponent's face... Oh, it's already too late, buddy.

Bringing my right hand up, my five fingers stretched wide, forming a claw. And with it, I brought it down across my opponent's entire body.

Srechhhh

The sound of flesh being torn. Blood burst out from the deep wound.

Five huge claw marks were left upon his body as he collapsed.

The crowd fell into dead silence.

"When was the last time I did that move... It feels nostalgic, really."

I said as I loosened my hand, soaked in my enemy's blood.

From there, I continued giving my other opponent the same treatment until I was the last one standing.

"That was easy."

I was handed a trophy and a prize, but what I was really after was about to come.

Two people, covered in masks, approached me, handing me an envelope.

Opening the envelope, it contained

My welcome into the organisation.

My ranking in position.

One of the individuals also handed me the organisation's uniform.

I was later brought to the organisation's headquarters, and just like that, I had become one of its members.

I was introduced to my colleagues of the same ranking.

And given a full tour of the organisation's headquarters.

The experiment rooms, the lounging area, the kitchen, the training rooms, the laundry room—the whole thing... But I only really cared about one particular thing.

Then I entered the meeting room. Here, all the higher members of the organisation were gathered, including the leader.

And the highest of the ranking has their portrait in the room.

I looked at all of them until my eyes caught at the picture of the very person I had been searching for.

"So you are in this organisation, cursed lady."

Saying this in amusement, my tour guide turned to look at me.

"That is Miss Arlen, also known as the Cursing Flame. She is one of the twelve members of the Abyssal Depth... She is also the head of the House of Rose."

Miss Arlen, huh? So that's your name.

"But as her reputation go....She's definitely the least liked among the twelve because of her unwillingness and silent demeanor."

"..... But I liked her."

My answer shocked him.

"Did I hear that wrong?... You must be kidding."

I left him unanswered as I continued staring at her portrait.
