This stranger's eyes began to glow as he bit my neck which began sending pain and agony to my brain and also shivers down my spine. Never have I witnessed such pain and actions in my life, I could feel my blood being drained, my body paralyzed and rendered useless, this stranger's body, still fading away but vibrant in its actions. It is now obvious, this stranger isn't human, according to what I have read, his doings are similar to vampires, this means he is a vampire, is he trying to turn me into a vampire or is he trying to get strength? Millions of questions running through my head but I don't still have the energy to speak and I could feel my energy being drained.
He finally stopped and looked at me,
"I know you are shocked, yes I am a vampire and now, if things go well and you are really loved by luck..... U would become one of us, here....." The stranger stretched out his hand, cut himself and forced me to drink his blood, I was paralyzed so I couldn't fight back, it was tasteless at first but within seconds it began to have a soured taste. Soon enough, I regained my ability to move and no one needed to tell me to run, but before I could, he held me and told me "you must find her, even if you don't become one of us, you are now obligated to protect her, You are now a guardian!!!". That was his last words before he faded away completely.
Confusion ran across my mind as I began to feel dizzy and fuzzy. The footsteps had gotten closer and had approached faster, next thing my instincts told me was RUN!!!
I took to my heels, scrambling round the woods to get home, I had a bad feeling of the unknown finally get hold of me. My heart began to beat fast, so many possibilities ran through my mind.
I finally got out of the woods, I had fallen under the spotlight only to see lots of glowing eyes, lurking in the woods, starring at my innocent soul. For some reason, they can't come closer. I kept on running, running home. Nothing more than to survive, this was my goal.
I arrived at my doorstep, my hand were trembling as I kept on looking back in fear, I can't even catch my breath. I miraculously unlocked it, got inside and locked it back, I rushed to my room, then to my bathroom, I took off my clothes and rushed into my bathtub.
I filled it up with water, and dived into it, my neck hurts as hell and my skin were burning.
" Calm down Allen!!! It's just a dream...."
Wait, what did I just say, how can this be called a dream. I can't even find words to calm myself down. I can't even touch my neck, the pain felt unbearable. I had an idea, I staggered to the little cupboard in my bathroom just to see antibiotics and pain killers, I took as many as I could and drank the tap water just to ease the pain quickly.
I quickly rushed to the bathtub and layed in it, it was filled with water. Pain exploded repeatedly in my brain. Just before I knew it, I became unconscious.
The next thing I heard was a faint noise, coming from the outside the bathroom. "Allen.... Are u in there?".
My eye lids were heavy, soon after I opened my eyes, the rays of light penetrated through the window to the surrounding made me understand that I spent the whole remaining hours of the night sleeping in the bathtub.
My head went numb as my next action was to reply my mum's endless call. " Yes mum, I will come down when I am ready" I almost screamed when my migraine hit harder against my skull.
"Ok honey, there is no time you will be late for school" she said with a confused tone and I understood why. Next thing I heard was my door shot and silence after that.
"Ahh...." I groaned in pain as I felt my head was about to split.i struggled to freshen up as I used plaster to hide the mark on my neck, it wasn't really noticeable though.
Unlike me, I ate hurriedly. Like someone who hasn't eaten in days, my mum stared at me, I couldn't control it as I savored the meal. My migraine and neck pain began to reduce.
"What happened Allen, were you this hungry?" My mum asked in curiosity as what I was about to say was contrary to what was happening.
"Uhh I guess I am not really hungry, I am just rushing because..... Yh ..... Because I am late... For school" words can't explain my thoughts now.
"Ok dear, just so U know, I will be returning late tonight. Take care before I get back" she broke the news to me. I don't know if it was a good or bad one.
"Ok sure mum I will. I am off. Bye for now" I said as I headed start to the door to get taxi as soon as possible.
"Call me if u need anything honey!!" My mum screamed on top of her voice as it faded in my ears after walking a few meters away from my house.
I finally got a taxi. On my little trip to school, a flashback of what occurred last night passed through my mind and it triggered the pain on my neck, so it is true!!
So it is true that not only humans, plants and animals inhabit this earth, so it is true other creatures exist and live among us.
The funny and scary thing about the event is how the harsh truth bumped into me with full force, enough to have driven me crazy.
"Sir, u have reached your destination", a calm and gentle voice spoke to me, which brought me back from my deep thoughts. It was the taxi driver, he stared at me with concern as I got down from the taxi, he smiled at me and drove off.
I didn't miss much in class,I caught up with what I missed and lucky me, I participated well in class today.
Time flew by, soon enough it was lunch time. One of my worst times in school, after eating I tried to hide as soon as possible to prevent myself from being seen. The school is really a big one but someone like me could be easily spotted.
".. there u are!!!!" That was the next thing I heard with a group of footsteps that accompanied It.
"Don't tell me you were trying to hide again" Kelvin, the leader of his group said with disgust as that question sent shivers down my spine.
"....Answer me punk head!!!!" He yells at me as he grabbed my hair and slammed my head on the wall, no one could say anything. It's a normal thing here, even the lecturers has no power over them because they seem to be 'special students'.
The pain of my head being slammed, together with the headache was something my head couldn't take. I began to feel dizzy as all other pain became less. My body can't bear it. It could break down any moment.
" Guess what!!! Your saviour isn't around today, so your life is in our hands". Fuck!! That means the students council president isn't around. She is the only one who use to save me.
"The only way we can let you go is if you got what we asked you to get". This is where I know I am dead. Why will I buy chocolates and snacks worth $700. That's insane, I don't make up to that amount.
He stared at me and I stared back, he became furious. I knew it, the only thing I can pray for is to survive.
