Just before he had dashed forward to meet the vampire, he had instantly activated [Aura Enhancement] bringing him from human standards to superhuman.
He felt his perception sharpen immensely above all else as he swung his sword to meet the vampires claws.
*Clang*
His sword rebounded as their clash created a metallic noise.
He frowned, not having expected the vampire to be able to do that.
' Just how strong are those claws?'
He didn't let surprise cloud his mind any further though as he used the force produced by the rebound to spin and while doing so ducking as he sensed a swipe at his head.
He seemed to have caught the vampire by surprise not having expected him to seemingly have eyes at the back of his head.
He used that momentary lapse of focus to finalize his spin and to bring his sword back to slash at face starting from her midsection in an upwards slash.
She quickly got her shit together and tried taking a step back, to dodge his incoming slash but barely as his sword met flesh.
" Arhhhhhh!" She screeched as blood splattered across the room, a gaping wound on her chest.
" You–! I'll kill you!" She screeched after seeing her wound which ran right between her exposed boobs from her stomach.
And with that she moved with unnatural speed, quickly appearing right infront of him, her clawed hands just about to meet his flesh.
'Fuck!'
He knew that the attack would hit, he wasn't fast enough to dodge it.
But his perception was high enough that he was able to see it just after she got out of whatever that speed state was.
So in a moment of desperation, he activated the [Dice Of Fate] hoping above all else that it would save him.
And seemingly as if the dice knew that time was of the essence, it didn't roll as a simple number appeared at the back of his head.
[—You have rolled - 83 | High success!]
And then the world brightened.
His senses sharpened beyond what he currently was capable of, his mana blazed like an inferno.
Then his mind followed, ideas, strategy and how he could use his current abilities to win this fight crossed his mind.
And if he could smirk in his time dilated state he would have. But since he couldn't, he settled on enacting his plan.
The mana blazing at his core quickly touched upon the wooden flooring and his magic [State Of Matter Magic] liquified his immediate surroundings bar his standing point.
The sudden shift in density of the floor had the woman stumbling just as her claws were close to cutting through his throat.
Using that lapse he concentrated his [Aura Enhancement] to his feet boosting them instead of his entire body and dashed back quickly, saving his life.
" W-what?!" The vampire screeched, confused as she looked at the floor which quickly hardened around her knees, trapping her.
He wasn't done though, he liquified the area around her again and this time willed for it to be shaped.
And his magic came alive as liquid spikes rose, stabbing themselves into the creature and coming through multiple points of her body.
" ARHHHHHH!-N-NO!" She screeched so loud that he was sure that if the music downstairs hadn't been muffling their battle, then he'd had a lot of spectators at this point.
He then watched as from all the stabbed parts on her body, yellow lines reminiscent of cracksof glass began cascading around her body.
He watched in curiosity, his breathing a bit unneven as the woman's cracked and broke apart into ashes.
Her threat finally neutralized.
And like the cascade that he just witnessed, his system flared.
Grinning at my rewards, he didn't accept the reward for now though as his focus briefly focused back on the guy that had just been a walking blood bag.
He frowned as he stared at them, their aura that had been dimming was now turning pink from white.
He remembered the woman's words at that all it took was one bite and you'd turn.
He sighed to himself as he tightened his grip on his sword and walked over to the kid.
Without any fanfare he plunged his sword through his heart.
The boy tensed and shook for a moment before stilling.
Dead, his aura dissipating.
Then he looked back and luckily he had the right of mind to close the door after he entered, he had just been about to walk off when he paused.
His eyes returning back to the boy.
With a grin he looked around the room and found what he was looking for, a bottle.
Quickly grabbing it he then walked up to the boy and cut an artery on his neck and watched as blood poured out into his Bootle.
When it was full he quickly hid it in his person and was about to walk away when he remembered that he was holding a sword, stained with blood.
' Oh fuck...'
To his surprise though he watched as runes suddenly lit up on the blade before the sword suddenly turned into silver smoke and moved to his right arm.
" Wh-!?" He didn't get to finish as a silver tattoo etched itself on his bicep.
Quickly pulling down his clothes to look at what just happened he saw a beautiful intricate tattoo on his bicep reminiscent of a moon with a wolf seemingly biting it.
As the tattoo settled, he then felt an almost instinctual understanding of what just happened.
[—Ding! The Possessed Silver Blade Of Dhaka has achieved a sufficient level of bonding with the host! It is now Soul-Bound to your soul and rests inside it! You can summon it and dismiss it with just a thought now!]
He paused, not having expected this at all.
He would have just grabbed some sheets and wrapped them around the blade and hoped that nobody would notice, but now.
' This is... actually useful, and it came at the right time.' He thought, a grin plastering his face before he decided that he had stayed for too long.
So he walked downstairs and had been just about to walk off into the night, going home but a voice stopped him just as he reached the pavement.
" You're ditching me too huh?" Allison's voice echoed.
Looking back he saw Allison alongside Lydia looking at him with an unimpressed look.
" Technically, your date left you." He retorted." I was just a passenger so your statement doesn't count."
For a moment he saw amusement on her face before she shook her head.
" I was about to look for you actually, Lydia offered us a ride home." Allison stated with a sigh looking at Lydia who all this time simply stared at him with that calculative smile.
" Oh? She did?" He asked staring at Lydia wanting to see what angle she was playing at.
" Is that such a surprise?" Lydia asked, acting offended as she pouted at him.
Rolling his eyes at her antics he sighed, making sure that the bottle of blood on him was hidden well.
When he had implied that he and Lydia would give her a ride earlier on he was just joking and wanted them to leave him alone for a moment, he didn't expect for Lydia to actually agree seeing as she was holding a party and all that.
" Well that's fine, I wasn't looking forward to walking alone in the dark anyway." He said looking resigned to his fate earning a couple of chuckles from the girls.
