Nyla stood barefoot on the terrace outside the Crescent Moon mansion, the morning sun streaking through the trees in golden ribbons. Her skin glowed in the light, and her hair, kissed moved as if the wind itself wanted to follow her.
She looked out toward the distant hills, and beyond them, she knew the sea waited.
Jax watched her from the doorway. She hadn't spoken much since the last dream. Not because she was frightened, but because she was listening.
"Everyone is going back to the beach house," she said softly without turning. "I want to go."
