Chapter 38 - 38. Lost uncle

"What happened to the Koál boy?" Tele Tete scratched his head. Meanwhile, Suk put the unconscious boy on the ground and started to revive him.

"I do not know." Rahul blinked in surprise.

"Come on Suk, wake him up." Razvan also sighed, when the Zovárd boy raised half his hand to his forehead.

"Yes!" He declared and took a deep breath. "Your ghost is here!" He called out, while the eyes of the boy in his arms popped up and he turned around with terrified eyes.

"Where?!" He hissed and then blew a big blow. "He is not here." Teveli nodded. "He is not here." He repeated.

"Well, now that the young man is up, we can go back to why it was so important what my name was?" Tele Tete suddenly spoke up. And Teveli swallowed a huge one.

"Boss, may I begin the introduction?" Teveli picked himself up from the ground.

"After you." The team leader closed his eyes and nodded.

"As you said, I came from the Koál tribe. I was named after my long lost uncle. It's nice to meet you, my name is..." Here he looked straight at the hegin man sitting on the bed. "Tele Teveli."

"Did my little brother have a son?" Tele Tete asked, and the Koál boy nodded.

"When I was little, my goal was to summon my uncle's ghost, but if you're alive, it's logical that I couldn't summon you." The boy folded his arms in front of him.

"I'm an uncle..." Tele Tete groaned and the next moment they only saw the whites of his eyes and he was spread out on the bed.

"Is this a family thing for you?" Rahul raised one of his eyebrows, then walked over to the Crazy Farmer and cleared his throat. "Mama Ilona!" Rahul spoke, but his voice was strangely not his own.

"Not mother please!" The hegin man suddenly sat up.

"Grandma?!" Came the frightened voice along with the man's.

'Now we have everyone, and we are over the family scene. The others could also introduce themselves to you. And then I have a few questions for you." Rahul looked seriously at the Crazy Farmer.

"Zaukán Razvan." The team leader nodded.

"I'm Citaf from Bolacsuks." The boy in green grinned.

"You don't have a normal name?" Came the question, and the boy scratched his neck.

"No. I'm an orphan, so I'm simply Citar." He finally shrugged. "Your turn." He turned to the pale-skinned hegin standing next to him.

"Vojk Wandi." The boy pulled himself out.

"Pleasure to meet you." Tele Tete nodded.

"I am Achilleus, from the Motumiszes." The boy in brown smiled.

"I won't even ask. We only know your tribe name." The Crazy Farmer rolled his eyes.

"Bokló Benkó." The boy in light blue clothes introduced himself.

"That's the third tribe leader. You have a nice little team. So you are?" The hegin man whistled, then turned to the boy in yellow, who nodded.

"Zovárd Suk." Finally he introduced himself.

"Well, we've got everyone, then it's my turn. Uncle Tete, are you a hegin?"/Rahul spoke.

"No. I'm a Turul bird! How in the Fene wouldn't I be one, I said I was, didn't I?" The questioner shook his head, grimacing.

"Did you know father before you came here?" Rahul asked seriously.

"Good, I think this means that you want a bedtime story about my life. Be it. Put your asses down." The man pointed to the ground, and when everyone took their seats, he leaned on his knees and took a deep breath. "Yes, I knew your father. We met at master Chá's place, then we ran into each other a few times for drinks. I went drinking with many of the team I met at Master Chá's. Before I came from Madüjawr, I was the right hand of the then Koál chieftain. I followed him everywhere, then overnight he disappeared with his wife. I was aware that if I went back to Lombvár everyone would look for them on me, so I left Madüjawr. I must have been somewhere in the mountains when I met your parents. He never told me what made them come from Madüjawr, but since I am also a hegin, I decided to go with them. That's how I became your father's great friend. Then we settled here, and then your parents died, I was supposed to take care of you, but I should be ashamed of myself." The man finally sighed.

"Were you really the right hand of the previous chieftain?" Teveli asked.

"Listen, little one, if you're really my nephew, stop fooling around as fast as Koál cubs run away from Kamu!" Tete pointed to the boy.

"Sorry." Teveli blushed.

"But anyway, yes." He waved.

"Is it true that his wife was an ötandi?" Teveli asked with sparkling eyes.

"It's not appropriate to gossip." The man said seriously and then grinned widely. "But yes, he almost shited himself when they first met." He laughed. "Well, let's get back to you. Why did you need a prophecy and why did you look for it here? The old woman is the only one who believes that a prophet lives here." The man nodded towards the door.

"At home, we received a declaration of war from the Western Onegod." Razvan started.

'Wait, what did you get? Wasn't that supposed to go to the tribal chiefs?" The man scratched his head.

"In his words, we are 'the only sane team in the land of idiots'." Razvan grimaced. "So we wanted to know what to do and Rahul mentioned that there was a rumor about a prophet for this and as we saw he was right."

"Is there a prophet in the village?" Tele Tete was surprised.

"Well, I don't think he's here anymore." Citar shrugged.

"He went away?" The eldest hegin asked.

"Disappeared, rather. Right after he sent the... What were they Rahul?" The team's head turned to the boy.

"The soldiers from the city came earlier." Rahul's eyes darkened.

"I understand and what did the prophet say?" Curiosity emerged from the man, when the team looked at Benkó as one person, and Rahul watched the others curiously.

"'The invasion of the bandits from the east will be stopped by the warlord from the west, and several families will be united, even though it was completely by chance.'" He repeated the prophet's words, then folded his arms in front of him. "Why do I have to remember these?"

"Because I said so.* Razvan declared, while Tele Tete laughed.

"Sorry, you're just such a strange bunch" He waved at the team. "I'm fine, I'll pull myself together. So the Onegod declared war on you and the soldiers were here sooner than they should have been. Interesting." He grabbed his chin. "What are your plans?" He turned to Razvan.

"First, to go back to Madüjawr. It soon becomes apparent that we have dissapeared, we should go back before the winter moon phases. And then we start preparing for war." The boy said seriously. "Although I don't know what Rahul wants to do." He looked at Rahul with sad eyes.

"I'll go with you. You don't have the money to get me off you, Tapló boss." He stuck out his tongue and folded his arms.

"Just like your father." The Crazy Farmer laughed. "Nephew, tell your father I said hello. Go back to Madüjawr, I wish the spirits help you on your way." He said smiling.

"Aren't you coming with us?" Teveli asked sadly.

"No. I'll stay here and find out what's going on in the west. The next time you visit, I might have something to say." He pulled his lips into a half smile.

"Why don't you send me your ghost?" His nephew asked.

"I haven't spoken to it in years. I'm not even sure if it's still listening to me." The man chuckled. "I'm better off not trying. By the way, when do you plan on leaving? Madüjawr is not next door."

"Thanks to Master Chá, it is." Razvan pulled out the scroll given by the cultivator.

"Good old Master Chá." Tele Tete shook his head with a smile. "In that case, stay for lunch." He offered it to the small team, who all happily accepted the invitation, since it's better not to go home with an empty stomach.
